would	like	the	world	to	understand	and	recognize	
whenever	they	see	your	company	online,	in	print,	or	in	
media.	When	you	think	of	Harley-Davidson,	a	totally	
different	picture	comes	to	mind	than	when	you	think	of	
AMI.

To	be	most	effective,	a	marketing	plan	is	a	formal	
written	document	that	details	the	actions	necessary	to	
achieve	your	marketing	objectives.	It	can	be	for	a	
company,	a	product	or	service,	a	brand,	or	a	product	line.	
The	essence	of	the	process	is	that	it	moves	from	the	
general	to	the	speci ic;	from	the	overall	objectives	of	AMI	
down	to	the	individual	action	plan	for	a	part	of	one	
marketing	program.
