TIME
Management
GOLDEN RULES
FOR
BILLIONAIRES
“Lost time is never again
found” those are the words
of Benjamin Franklin. The
essence of time itself cannot
be over emphasized because
every minute you lose you
pay for it in the nearest
future. Successful people
must understand the
essentiality of time and learn
to skillfully manage it to
achieve their set goals and
objectives.Every organization
that intend to be successful
must be dedicated to time
management with a 101%
focus on the objective of the
job, pushing aside
distractions and excuses.
Often busy owners and
entrepreneurs nag and
complain of not having
enough time and use this as
an excuse for their failure or
inability to deliver. The truth
is that no business ever has
enough time, those that
succeeded built and
developed their time
management skills to suit
them and they chased their
objectives with laser focus on
time consciousness.
YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF
TIME:
You maybe the CEO of the
largest company in the world
but you are not the CEO of
time; you must learn to
respect time with the
consciousness that every
second you waste is gone
forever. You work in respect
to time in other to achieve
set goals. After research and
observations, it was
discovered that they are the
most effective factors
required to maximize time.
1. PRIORITIZE
This is a very useful skill in
time management. Make a
conclusive list of your
objective, find out which is
important and which is more
important. Draw a scale of
preference containing
mapped out plans, with the
more pressing coming first
while the less pressing later,
having a consciousness of
time, with laser focus on the
objective, losing every form
of distraction.
Failure to prioritize will
always make work look
ambiguous and overwhelmin
g, that thought alone can
generate stress and reduce
your efficiency. You will
always be behind schedule
and this will drastically affect
the integrity of your
company.
2. SET A DEADLINE
This is one factor that
distinguishes the learners
from professionals.
Successful individuals
pursue their goals and
objectives with the
consciousness of a “time
limit”.
Set deadlines and make an
executive decision not to
push them forward, rather
GODWIN JIMMY
try your possible best to
stand by those decisions.
3. STOP
MULTITASKING
Most business owners and
CEO’s think multitasking
saves time and resources but
the reverse is the case.
Multitasking is one of the
enemies of efficiency due to
the fact that it does not give
room for focus and accuracy.
Research shows that
multitasking has negative
effect, prompting the release
of stress hormones and
adrenaline that reduces the
capacity of the brain.
It is not advisable to
multitask or encourage staffs
to do same, set your goals
and chase them with 100%
focus as this will increase
your efficiency.
4. DELEGATE
RESPONSIBILTIES
At the early stage of most
startup, the founder feels
obligated to be involved in
most activities and try their
best to do it all, they want to
take charge and be in control
of everything as they feel this
is the normal thing to do.
Irrespective of how small
Your staff base may be,
responsibilities must be
shared amongst staffs and
business partners.
Some people would think
that delegating
responsibilities is a sign of
weakness, but actually it
portrays intelligence, In
doing this, you are exposed
to new and better ideas.
5. REWARD YOURSELF
Although, it may sound
funny, the joy of celebration
encourages you to face the
challenges ahead. When set
goals are accomplished, do
well to celebrate it with your
team no matter how small
the celebration may be.
“Getting rich may be easy
staying rich is the task” your
knowledge on time
management with help you
stay at the top.

RIVERS PROVINCE 8.
You can make it in life. Oh yes you can make it. A lot of people have tried and failed after which they simply
conclude it is the will of GOD for them not to make it. In fact you making it and remaining in good health is
number one in GOD’s priority list for you. 3 john 3 “beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper
and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth”. It does not matter where you are now GOD can rise you
up. 1 Sam 2:8 “He raiseth the poor out of the dust, and lifted up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them
among prince, and make them inherit the throne of Glory; for the pillar of the earth are the lord’s and set the
world upon them”. A man who was selling, second hand clothing years back is now a multi-millionaire with
chains of all servicing companies after an encounter with Jesus.
Why should you die frustrated or why should you allow frustration to kill you? Come to Jesus today no
matter what you have done, He will save you and your story will change.

8 WAYS TO GENERATE GREAT BUSINESS IDEAS
There are different ways to
come up with ideas. For
some people, coming up
with ideas is as easy as
spotting chewing gum on the
sidewalk. For others, it’s
nearly impossible.
The following are ways on
how an individual can
actually come up with
business ideas.
SOLVE PROBLEMS
Resolving personal problems
is an easy way of generating
business ideas, solving the
problems of others could
also be another way. These
ideas do not have to be big
solutions like Google search
engine or Amazon, they
could be much smaller.
Products most people have
become acquainted to were
actually invented to solve
problems, including thermo
flask to keep coffee/food
warm, sunglasses to protect
from the glare, security
alarms to alert you that
someone has broken in, and
the list goes on.
All you have to do is identify
problems. As you go about
your daily routine, have ` the
mindset of noticing things
that frustrates you. Once you
get into the habit of finding
problems, you will probably
start enjoying it. Remember,
every problem is an
opportunity for a new
product, service or company
especially if it is a problem
most people have.
SOLVE LIKELY
POSSOBLE
PROBLEMS
Solving problems
that you
currently have is
not the only way
to come up with
brilliant ideas.
Why not think of
solving problems
that will exist,
but not yet?
If you think
there’s not yet a
market for your
idea, you might
just be able to
create one by
appealing to
those like you
that believe it will be a
problem in future.
ADAPT FOR EVOLVING
NEEDS
Physiological needs stay the
same- the need for food,
shelter and water. Emotional
needs tend to stand the
same- envy, greed, pride and
others. What do not stay the
same is the products and
services it takes to fulfill
these needs.
The easiest product to
market is the product that
fulfills a real or
contemporary need. An
example of a service that has
quickly become popular is
CLOUD STORAGE. It is a
result of our very
contemporary need to have
access to our data,
information, photos, music
and so on, no matter what
device we are on. Google
sells cloud storage, as does
Dropbox, Amazon, Apple,
Microsoft and a host of
private companies that do as
well.
SAVE PEOPLE MONEY
Another great way to come
up with ideas is to think
about saving people money.
People buy 23watts energy
saving light bulbs because
they are affordable, consume
less energy than the normal
light bulbs and last longer
than other bulbs which is an
added advantage.
If you can figure out how to
save people money, you will
have a good business idea,
new or not.
MAKE PEOPLE’S LIVES
EASIER
A coffee machine with a
timer that ensures there is a
hot coffee when you wake, a
central vacuum cleaning
system that only the hose
and brush can be carried
around the house rather
than the full unit, shopping
baskets placed at convenient
intervals in the store to ease
carrying of purchased goods.
Remember, coming up with
business ideas does not
mean you have to focus on
inventing new products or
services. In fact, you could
just as easily adapt an
existing service or introduce
a new benefit that makes life
easier.
MAKE CHORES LESS
UNPLEASANT
How would you like the
possibility of making real
chores fun? Ever heard of
Japan’s high tech toilets?
Well, they play music, have
heated seats, blast warm air
and clean with jets of water.
That is a great example of
how to make an unpleasant
task pleasant. What do you
hate doing? How could you
make it more enjoyable? Like
someone to make hanging
your clothes less of a pain,
and to take your bills and pay
them for you.
TURN A HOBBY INTO A
BUSINESS
For those already actively
making or doing something,
this may be an obvious next
step. Or if you have been
doing something on a regular
basis and find yourself good
at it but don’t think of it as a
hobby, perhaps you should
think about how it could be a
business.
If you find the idea of
starting a business
intimidating, start with
something you know. This
way, it might not feel like a
business and you will enjoy
the process as you go. Be
sure to think carefully about
how you will feel if things do
work out. You may find
things suddenly become less
enjoyable as you have got to
start making them to meet
customer demand or to pay
the bills.
FULFIL A NEED
Take any of the human needs
on Maslow’s hierarchy of
needs and think of the
products and services
created to meet these needs.
Then build on those.
As humans, we have a
constant need to hydrate
ourselves. If we do not drink
water, we will probably die;
at such we have plumbing
systems built into our houses
and into all of the buildings
we work in and visit. Despite
being able to pop in almost
anywhere to drink water for
free, companies have come
up with additional ways to
meet this need by providing
solutions for clean water on
the go. Move up to the
love/belonging level on
Maslow’s pyramid, and you
get companies like Facebook
that allow a user to feel a
sense of connection to
friends and family.
Finally I would say coming up
with business ideas does not
mean you have to focus on
inventing new products or
services.
CAPACITY BUILDING: A
MUST FOR
ENTREPRENEURS
CEO of Real Ideas Enterprise Godwin Jimmy, in an
interview on the means for entrepreneurs to grow,
talked about capacity building as a building tool for
entrepreneurs who intend to be successful.
The following discussions were carried out;
How can an entrepreneur get better?
Godwin Jimmy: Foremost, I would say you cannot give
what you do not have; every entrepreneur is a major
contributor to the economy and at such should possess
the necessary knowledge to build and better that
economy. This boils down to the individual’s innovative
capabilities.
In your own terms what is capacity building?
Godwin Jimmy: This is the act of developing yourself to
better understand the obstacles around your society,
country and world at large to help achieve sustainable
result and perform effectively. Capacity building deals
with building your mind to think outside the box,
creative and innovative to achieve your dreams.
In what way can an individual develop himself?
Godwin Jimmy: Wow, The answer to that is broad but I
will try to narrow it down to three categories, which are
 Mental development
 Social development
 Physical development
As we round up, in one sentence can you define each
category?
Godwin Jimmy: Ok, I will start with mental
development; this is working to improve one’s
knowledge and intellect. Mental intellect is built by
studying, learning from successful people and other
mind engaging activities.
Social development: learning to impact and help other
individuals to grow, putting people as part of your
development goals.
Physical development: improving on your health and
physical well-being just as the saying goes “a healthy
man is a wealthy man” developing the right habit that
will help your body function to capacity.
It was pleasure to have you do this interview.
Godwin jimmy: The pleasure was all mine

Has there been any time quick fix solutions paid off in your
organization?
“It is so much easier to suggest solutions when you don’t know
too much about the problem” says Malcolm .S. Forbes
There is a natural proclivity to always look for the easiest way out
in every situation. Some organizations at one time or the other
have sought for quick fix to their problems. Much to the chagrin of
these organizations, the more they try to quick fix their problem,
the bigger the problem becomes. Organizational problems are
always systematic in nature and do not always appear simply as
we often times assume them to be. These issues and problems in
organizations are always interrelated. In some situations, the
causes of the problems are not easily seen with our OPEN eyes.
Quick fixes and other traditional problem solving approaches are
no longer adequate in this our ever changing and complex world.
It is imperative for us to understand that quick fixes are not long
lasting and are likely to fail because they are not holistic or
creative enough. One might ask- WHY ARE THEY NOT HOLISTIC?
They are not holistic because they concentrate on the part of the
organization rather than the whole. In so doing, they miss the
crucial interaction between the parts. They fail to recognize that
optimizing the performance of one part may have consequences
elsewhere that are damaging to the entire organization. Having
worked and interacted with some CEO’s, I have realized that most
of them are not satisfied with the UNCLASSIFIED quick fixes they
have engaged in the time past such as BENCHMARKING,
RIGHTSIZING, VALUE CHAIN ANALYSIS, CONTINOUS
IMPROVEMENT, TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT, PROCESS RE-
ENGINEERING, AND CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT.
My instinct tells me that someone might be asking, how come all
these measures above quick fix? Let’s look at some of the
measures closely.
Looking at PROCESS RE-ENGINEERING for instance, the originator
of the approach has admitted that process re-engineering
concentrates far too much on the things that can be engineered at
the expense of the people in the organization. People react and
process re-engineering intervention may possibly fail in terms of
securing overall improvement.
BENCHMARKING encourages looking at the efficiency
of different parts of the organization separately
against external comparators. It fails to see that even
if each part is optimized, the performance of the
whole organization can be disastrous if the parts do
not interact well together.
TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT has done a lot to
improve design, but can be criticized for ignoring
wider structural issues and the politics of
organization. At other times, even if more parts are
considered, there is the danger that they are all
viewed from the same perspective.
ANALYTICAL OR PIECEMEAL APPROACH may end up
in failure. This also explain why some organizations
end up in chaos after spending huge resources trying
to fix systematic issues. The good news for
organizations is that with SYSTEMS THINKING
APPROACH being institutionalized in their
organizations, they would be able to resolve all their
lingering systematic issues. This is because it sees the
entire organization as primary and does not try to
break down organizations into parts in order to
understand them and intervene in them.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Has there been a time quick fix solutions paid off in
your organization? If NO, what are you going to do
differently?
SHOULD CEO’s ENDORSE THE QUICK FIX APPROACH?

1. Business plan services;
In this time brilliant business ideas are popping up in people’s heads but they lack the required skill to develop
these ideas. Business plans are needed to help secure loans, investments and to make sure you keep the
business running on target. All you have to do is learn this skill and develop yourself.
2. Cooperate cleaning service;
Businesses like bank establishments and restaurants are in daily need of thorough cleaning during and after
operation. All you need is a team of diligent people and your cleaning equipment. You don’t have to spend
much on advertising cause your services will speak.
3. Consultant services;
Do you have knowledge and experience on a specialized skill? Then consider starting a consulting business, you
will find consultants in just about every field. Their job is to evaluate, give advice and information that will aid
in the efficient running of that organization.
4. Event planner;
Having a keen knack for throwing parties and you are hyper organized? Then don’t search any further because
event and party planning may be just what is right for you.
5. Freelance graphic design;
Don’t let the creativity die down in search of a white color job. No matter what type of design you do the key is
to work on your portfolio and get a few referral if you desire to work with actual client, or you may consider
using your design skill to create product such as business cards, website templates etc.
6. Freelance writing;
Do you love to write? But not yet ready to launch a book? Then you may consider freelance writing. With
content marketing becoming a key aspect for companies, there are more jobs opportunities for writers. To
start, check some local businesses around you to see if they need help with blog post or creating other
information such as report or short e-books.
7. Tutoring / teaching ;
Not everyone “gets” the subject they are currently studying. There are many areas of people’s lives they could
use a little help improving. If you are skilled in a specified area that others are having trouble with and love to
teach, then consider tutoring.
8 LOW COST BUSINESS IDEAS.
8. Interior decoration;
Most people moving into new homes can sometimes be overwhelmed with activities and responsibilities
required to arrange the apartment. Interior decorating requires creativity and technicality. Inquire how the
home owner will use the home, are there children? Pets? Old people? Then task your brain with the
perfect design.
1. Protect Your Brain
Cucumbers contain an anti-inflammatory flavonol called fisetin that appears to play an important role in brain health. In
addition to improving your memory and protecting your nerve cells from age-related decline, fisetin has been found to
prevent progressive memory and learning impairments in mice with Alzheimer's disease.
2. Reduce Your Risk of Cancer
Cucumbers contain polyphenols called lignans , which may help to lower your risk of breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate
cancers. They also contain phytonutrients which also have anti-cancer properties.
"Scientists have already determined that several different signaling pathways required for cancer cell development and
survival can be blocked by activity of cucurbitacins."
HEALTH BENEFITS OF CUCUMBER
GRACE OLEHI
3. Fight Inflammation
Cucumbers may help to "cool" the inflammatory response in your body. Animal studies suggest that cucumber extract helps
reduce unwanted inflammation by inhibiting the activity of pro-inflammatory enzymes.
4. Antioxidant Properties
Cucumbers contain numerous antioxidants, including the well-known vitamin C and beta-carotene. They also contain
antioxidant flavanoids which provide additional benefits. For instance, quercetin is an antioxidant that many believe prevents
histamine release, making quercetin-rich foods "natural antihistamines." Kaempferol, meanwhile, may help
fight cancer and lower your risk of chronic diseases including heart disease.
5. Freshen Your Breath
Placing a cucumber slice on the roof of your mouth may help to rid your mouth of odor-causing bacteria. Eating cucumbers may
also help to release excess heat in your stomach, which is said to be a primary cause of bad breath.
6. Manage Stress
Cucumbers contain multiple B vitamins, including vitamin B1, vitamin B5, and vitamin B7 (biotin). B vitamins are known to help
ease feelings of anxiety and buffer some of the damaging effects of stress.
7. Support Your Digestive Health
Cucumbers are rich in two of the most basic elements needed for healthy digestion: water and fiber. Adding cucumbers to your
juice or salad can help you meet the ideal of amount of fiber your body needs — 50 grams per 1,000 calories consumed. If you
struggle with acid reflux, you should know that drinking water can help suppress acute symptoms of acid reflux by temporarily
raising stomach pH; it's possible that water-rich cucumbers may have a similar effect.
A cucumber’s skin contain insoluble fiber, which helps add bulk to your stool. This helps food to move through your digestive
tract more quickly for healthy elimination.
CHIMENE CHINAH
The importance of a healthy
mind cannot be
overemphasized, you
become what you think.
The mind is a very powerful
tool which controls our
feelings, emotions, thinking,
perception, leading to our
actions and decisions.
Henry Ford said "thinking is
the hardest job there is,
which is probably the reason
why so few engage in it".
Everyone wants to be
successful but most fail to
think, instead they let their
desire for success consume
them. There is a price for
everything, for success, it is
your ability to think big and
work smart. People who
work hard put in much
effort to achieve set goals.
Smart people think first
before working, they apply
less effort to achieve goals
under a short period of time
compared to hard workers.
To think outside the box, you
must leave your comfort
zone and start doing those
things you are not used to.
This sharpens the mind,
giving you different angles to
a particular idea.
People fail not because they
make mistakes, they fail
because they don’t correct
them.
“Being broke is a temporary
state, being poor has to do
with the mind”. Failure is not
a result of multiple mistakes,
it is due to an unhealthy
(shallow, scared) mindset.
Thomas Edison made over
1000 attempts at inventing
the light bulb. When a
reporter asked, "How did it
feel to fail 1,000 times?"
Edison replied, "I didn’t fail
1,000 times. The light bulb
was an invention with 1,000
steps."
Every system has an energy
source which fuels it, for the
mind, it is knowledge. This is
the fuel that keeps the mind
running effectively, the mind
starts dying gradually when
you stop learning new things.
Shallow thinking leads to
self-limitation, loss of
confidence and self-belief.
Great innovators are big
thinkers because they see
possibilities and solutions
when others see problems
and a dead end.
The mind is an important gift
given to us by God. Listed
below are ways to develop a
healthy mind
SELF BELIEF
Most people have a pre-
programmed mindset that
nothing good can come out
from them, hereby failing
even before starting a
project. Believing in yourself
builds your confidence,
increases your reasoning
DEVELOPING A HEALTHY
MIND
ability and enables you see
possibilities where others
see impossibilities.
Impossible is nothing only if
you believe in yourself.
BE OPTIMISTIC
Being hopeful about the
future goes a long way in
mind-development. You see
a positive result even when
passing through a challenge,
giving you the courage to
continue.
Always think about your
good points, it builds your
self-image and confidence. If
you are good in business, tell
yourself that all the time.
People around you should
not make you feel inferior or
useless. The first antibiotics
Penicillin was discovered
from a mold which cannot be
compared to you.
AVOID BAD COMPANY
The close friends you keep
play a role in your
development as a person.
Most friends always see the
bad in every idea you share
which in turn leads to
demoralization.
Staying around shallow
minded people destroys your
ability to think big, learn new
things and on a long run,
shatters self-confidence.
SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE
AND SKILLS
Teaching is the best form of
learning. You understand
better when you share your
knowledge with people
around. If you are a
programmer, teach someone
programming, good in
mathematics? teach it to
your friends. This way, you
see that area from different
angles, learn new things
hereby deepening your
understanding on that
particular area.
READ ABOUT SUCCESSFUL
PEOPLE
There are two ways to learn:
learning from others
(mentors) and learning from
past experiences (mistakes).
Most people feel experience
is the best teacher. No, you
could also learn from other
people without actually
passing through the pains of
learning from experience.
Mike Murdock bought a
book for $84, a young man
said “I cannot believe you
bought a book for $84”, his
reply was impressive “Son, I
did not. I bought a man’s life.
What took him 70 years to
learn, I will know in two
hours.” Learning about their
principles, mistakes, angle of
reasoning provide you with a
guide tool towards achieving
your dreams.
STUDY
"You cannot give what you
do not have", always
exercise your mind by
studying new things. Try to
engage yourself in games
(scrabble, chess, puzzle and
other mind developing
games), math’s solving and
so on. Content filtering is an
important learning tool
because what you take in
guarantees what you give
out. Always sieve out
anything that will affect you
negatively and take in those
that will add to you
positively. The wisest mind
has something yet to learn.

Walt Disney was an innovator and a
visionary. But he was also one of the
most successful business leaders of his
time. Here are eight principles that
made Walt Disney one of the greatest
icons of the 20th century:
1. Provide a promise, not a product: The
legend goes that Walt Disney was sitting on a
bench watching his daughters ride a carousel
when he came up with the concept for Disney
World. He noticed amusement parks and
state fairs were always littered and poorly
organized, and the employees were generally
rude and resentful.
His wife once asked, “Why do you want to
build an amusement park? They’re so dirty.”
To which Walt replied, “That’s the point. Mine
won’t be.” From day one, Disney has focused
on “the experience” as a key component to
increasing the value of its parks.
2. Always exceed customers’
expectations: One of the reasons the Disney
tradition stands the test of time is that Walt
Disney was more critical of his creations than
anyone else could ever possibly be. He was a
relentless perfectionist with a keen eye for
detail, often forcing projects to go over
budget and past deadline because he wasn’t
satisfied with the finished product.
3. Pursue your passion, and the
money will follow: Walt Disney went
bankrupt more than once, leveraging
everything he had in terms of assets in
order to build his studio, his films and his
dreams. The more profit one project
yielded, the bigger the next would be. His
vision was constantly growing, and he
used whatever capital he had to allow that
vision to evolve. His films and theme
parks were labors of love, built to
revolutionize an industry, rather than
maximize profits.
4. Stay true to your company’s
mission and values: Walt Disney was
famous for saying, “I hope that we never
lose sight of one thing — that it was all
started by a mouse.”
Decades later, Mickey Mouse is still the
crown jewel of the Disney franchise,
representing all the good will and
imagination Disney represents. He’s also a
constant reminder that the company has
strong roots and it embraces American
values.
5. Differentiate your offer: Every facet
of Disney’s operation is unique. Employees
are called “associates,” visitors are called
“guests,” creative designers are called
“Imagineers.”
WALT DISNEY’S 8 SECRETS OF SUCCESS
And that’s just the beginning. The experience of
being at a Disney theme park or staying at a
Disney resort is all about creating a dream
vacation — one where the attention to detail and
personal service is just as memorable as the
attractions themselves.
6. Lead by example and delegate: Walt Disney
was the artist who originally sketched Mickey
Mouse, as well as several of the other iconic
Disney characters. He even voiced several
characters and provided the inspiration for a lot of
Disney’s animated classics. As he built a studio
which evolved to an empire, he hired reliable men
and women who understood his vision and trusted
them to translate that vision to others. By the
time Walt broke ground on Disney World, he
hadn’t drawn a character for decades nor was he
a daily fixture at creative meetings. He built a
strong foundation and developed self-reliant
managers who embraced his vision. That allowed
him to turn his attention to even bigger dreams,
while the company and its employees continued to
prosper.
7. Defy convention: So much about Walt
Disney’s rise was about bucking the odds
and ignoring the critics, whether it was show biz
insiders telling him no one would ever sit still for a
feature-length animated film, or others saying
Walt was crazy for buying acres and acres of
murky swampland in central Florida, Disney
always trusted his instincts first. Einstein once
said, “Great spirits have always encountered
violent opposition from mediocre minds.” Walt
Disney was a perfect example.
8. Leave behind something to grow:
According to one historian, “The true measure
of a man’s greatness is what he’s left behind to
grow.” Disney World didn’t even open its gates
until nearly five years after Walt Disney’s death.
And yet, the tradition continues to evolve,
almost 45 years later. While Disney has
diversified in a number of ways, it’s still the
company that started with a mouse. Perhaps
Walt himself put it best: “Disney Land
is something that will never be finished,
something I can keep pushing and adding to. I
just finished a live-action picture. It’s gone. I
can’t touch it. I want something live, something
that will grow. The park is that.”

  • 3. TIME Management GOLDEN RULES FOR BILLIONAIRES “Lost time is never again found” those are the words of Benjamin Franklin. The essence of time itself cannot be over emphasized because every minute you lose you pay for it in the nearest future. Successful people must understand the essentiality of time and learn to skillfully manage it to achieve their set goals and objectives.Every organization that intend to be successful must be dedicated to time management with a 101% focus on the objective of the job, pushing aside distractions and excuses. Often busy owners and entrepreneurs nag and complain of not having enough time and use this as an excuse for their failure or inability to deliver. The truth is that no business ever has enough time, those that succeeded built and developed their time management skills to suit them and they chased their objectives with laser focus on time consciousness. YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF TIME: You maybe the CEO of the largest company in the world but you are not the CEO of time; you must learn to respect time with the consciousness that every second you waste is gone forever. You work in respect to time in other to achieve set goals. After research and observations, it was discovered that they are the most effective factors required to maximize time. 1. PRIORITIZE This is a very useful skill in time management. Make a conclusive list of your objective, find out which is important and which is more important. Draw a scale of preference containing mapped out plans, with the more pressing coming first while the less pressing later, having a consciousness of time, with laser focus on the objective, losing every form of distraction. Failure to prioritize will always make work look ambiguous and overwhelmin g, that thought alone can generate stress and reduce your efficiency. You will always be behind schedule and this will drastically affect the integrity of your company. 2. SET A DEADLINE This is one factor that distinguishes the learners from professionals. Successful individuals pursue their goals and objectives with the consciousness of a “time limit”. Set deadlines and make an executive decision not to push them forward, rather GODWIN JIMMY
  • 4. try your possible best to stand by those decisions. 3. STOP MULTITASKING Most business owners and CEO’s think multitasking saves time and resources but the reverse is the case. Multitasking is one of the enemies of efficiency due to the fact that it does not give room for focus and accuracy. Research shows that multitasking has negative effect, prompting the release of stress hormones and adrenaline that reduces the capacity of the brain. It is not advisable to multitask or encourage staffs to do same, set your goals and chase them with 100% focus as this will increase your efficiency. 4. DELEGATE RESPONSIBILTIES At the early stage of most startup, the founder feels obligated to be involved in most activities and try their best to do it all, they want to take charge and be in control of everything as they feel this is the normal thing to do. Irrespective of how small Your staff base may be, responsibilities must be shared amongst staffs and business partners. Some people would think that delegating responsibilities is a sign of weakness, but actually it portrays intelligence, In doing this, you are exposed to new and better ideas. 5. REWARD YOURSELF Although, it may sound funny, the joy of celebration encourages you to face the challenges ahead. When set goals are accomplished, do well to celebrate it with your team no matter how small the celebration may be. “Getting rich may be easy staying rich is the task” your knowledge on time management with help you stay at the top. YOU CAN MAKE IT POWERED BY ROYAL PRIESTHOOD YOUTH FELLOWSHOP. RIVERS PROVINCE 8. You can make it in life. Oh yes you can make it. A lot of people have tried and failed after which they simply conclude it is the will of GOD for them not to make it. In fact you making it and remaining in good health is number one in GOD’s priority list for you. 3 john 3 “beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth”. It does not matter where you are now GOD can rise you up. 1 Sam 2:8 “He raiseth the poor out of the dust, and lifted up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among prince, and make them inherit the throne of Glory; for the pillar of the earth are the lord’s and set the world upon them”. A man who was selling, second hand clothing years back is now a multi-millionaire with chains of all servicing companies after an encounter with Jesus. Why should you die frustrated or why should you allow frustration to kill you? Come to Jesus today no matter what you have done, He will save you and your story will change.
  • 5. DANIEL ONYEKACHI 8 WAYS TO GENERATE GREAT BUSINESS IDEAS There are different ways to come up with ideas. For some people, coming up with ideas is as easy as spotting chewing gum on the sidewalk. For others, it’s nearly impossible. The following are ways on how an individual can actually come up with business ideas. SOLVE PROBLEMS Resolving personal problems is an easy way of generating business ideas, solving the problems of others could also be another way. These ideas do not have to be big solutions like Google search engine or Amazon, they could be much smaller. Products most people have become acquainted to were actually invented to solve problems, including thermo flask to keep coffee/food warm, sunglasses to protect from the glare, security alarms to alert you that someone has broken in, and the list goes on. All you have to do is identify problems. As you go about your daily routine, have ` the mindset of noticing things that frustrates you. Once you get into the habit of finding problems, you will probably start enjoying it. Remember, every problem is an opportunity for a new product, service or company especially if it is a problem most people have. SOLVE LIKELY POSSOBLE PROBLEMS Solving problems that you currently have is not the only way to come up with brilliant ideas. Why not think of solving problems that will exist, but not yet? If you think there’s not yet a market for your idea, you might just be able to create one by appealing to those like you that believe it will be a problem in future. ADAPT FOR EVOLVING NEEDS Physiological needs stay the same- the need for food, shelter and water. Emotional needs tend to stand the same- envy, greed, pride and others. What do not stay the same is the products and services it takes to fulfill these needs. The easiest product to market is the product that fulfills a real or contemporary need. An example of a service that has quickly become popular is CLOUD STORAGE. It is a result of our very contemporary need to have access to our data, information, photos, music and so on, no matter what
  • 6. device we are on. Google sells cloud storage, as does Dropbox, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and a host of private companies that do as well. SAVE PEOPLE MONEY Another great way to come up with ideas is to think about saving people money. People buy 23watts energy saving light bulbs because they are affordable, consume less energy than the normal light bulbs and last longer than other bulbs which is an added advantage. If you can figure out how to save people money, you will have a good business idea, new or not. MAKE PEOPLE’S LIVES EASIER A coffee machine with a timer that ensures there is a hot coffee when you wake, a central vacuum cleaning system that only the hose and brush can be carried around the house rather than the full unit, shopping baskets placed at convenient intervals in the store to ease carrying of purchased goods. Remember, coming up with business ideas does not mean you have to focus on inventing new products or services. In fact, you could just as easily adapt an existing service or introduce a new benefit that makes life easier. MAKE CHORES LESS UNPLEASANT How would you like the possibility of making real chores fun? Ever heard of Japan’s high tech toilets? Well, they play music, have heated seats, blast warm air and clean with jets of water. That is a great example of how to make an unpleasant task pleasant. What do you hate doing? How could you make it more enjoyable? Like someone to make hanging your clothes less of a pain, and to take your bills and pay them for you. TURN A HOBBY INTO A BUSINESS For those already actively making or doing something, this may be an obvious next step. Or if you have been doing something on a regular basis and find yourself good at it but don’t think of it as a hobby, perhaps you should think about how it could be a business. If you find the idea of starting a business intimidating, start with something you know. This way, it might not feel like a business and you will enjoy the process as you go. Be sure to think carefully about how you will feel if things do work out. You may find things suddenly become less enjoyable as you have got to start making them to meet customer demand or to pay the bills. FULFIL A NEED Take any of the human needs on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and think of the products and services created to meet these needs. Then build on those. As humans, we have a constant need to hydrate ourselves. If we do not drink water, we will probably die; at such we have plumbing systems built into our houses and into all of the buildings we work in and visit. Despite being able to pop in almost anywhere to drink water for free, companies have come up with additional ways to meet this need by providing solutions for clean water on the go. Move up to the love/belonging level on Maslow’s pyramid, and you get companies like Facebook that allow a user to feel a sense of connection to friends and family. Finally I would say coming up with business ideas does not mean you have to focus on inventing new products or services.
  • 7. CAPACITY BUILDING: A MUST FOR ENTREPRENEURS CEO of Real Ideas Enterprise Godwin Jimmy, in an interview on the means for entrepreneurs to grow, talked about capacity building as a building tool for entrepreneurs who intend to be successful. The following discussions were carried out; How can an entrepreneur get better? Godwin Jimmy: Foremost, I would say you cannot give what you do not have; every entrepreneur is a major contributor to the economy and at such should possess the necessary knowledge to build and better that economy. This boils down to the individual’s innovative capabilities. In your own terms what is capacity building? Godwin Jimmy: This is the act of developing yourself to better understand the obstacles around your society, country and world at large to help achieve sustainable result and perform effectively. Capacity building deals with building your mind to think outside the box, creative and innovative to achieve your dreams. In what way can an individual develop himself? Godwin Jimmy: Wow, The answer to that is broad but I will try to narrow it down to three categories, which are  Mental development  Social development  Physical development As we round up, in one sentence can you define each category? Godwin Jimmy: Ok, I will start with mental development; this is working to improve one’s knowledge and intellect. Mental intellect is built by studying, learning from successful people and other mind engaging activities. Social development: learning to impact and help other individuals to grow, putting people as part of your development goals. Physical development: improving on your health and physical well-being just as the saying goes “a healthy man is a wealthy man” developing the right habit that will help your body function to capacity. It was pleasure to have you do this interview. Godwin jimmy: The pleasure was all mine Adopted from Real Ideas Blog, media partners of The Capitalist magazine
  • 8. Has there been any time quick fix solutions paid off in your organization? “It is so much easier to suggest solutions when you don’t know too much about the problem” says Malcolm .S. Forbes There is a natural proclivity to always look for the easiest way out in every situation. Some organizations at one time or the other have sought for quick fix to their problems. Much to the chagrin of these organizations, the more they try to quick fix their problem, the bigger the problem becomes. Organizational problems are always systematic in nature and do not always appear simply as we often times assume them to be. These issues and problems in organizations are always interrelated. In some situations, the causes of the problems are not easily seen with our OPEN eyes. Quick fixes and other traditional problem solving approaches are no longer adequate in this our ever changing and complex world. It is imperative for us to understand that quick fixes are not long lasting and are likely to fail because they are not holistic or creative enough. One might ask- WHY ARE THEY NOT HOLISTIC? They are not holistic because they concentrate on the part of the organization rather than the whole. In so doing, they miss the crucial interaction between the parts. They fail to recognize that optimizing the performance of one part may have consequences elsewhere that are damaging to the entire organization. Having worked and interacted with some CEO’s, I have realized that most of them are not satisfied with the UNCLASSIFIED quick fixes they have engaged in the time past such as BENCHMARKING, RIGHTSIZING, VALUE CHAIN ANALYSIS, CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT, TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT, PROCESS RE- ENGINEERING, AND CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT. My instinct tells me that someone might be asking, how come all these measures above quick fix? Let’s look at some of the measures closely. Looking at PROCESS RE-ENGINEERING for instance, the originator of the approach has admitted that process re-engineering concentrates far too much on the things that can be engineered at the expense of the people in the organization. People react and process re-engineering intervention may possibly fail in terms of securing overall improvement. BENCHMARKING encourages looking at the efficiency of different parts of the organization separately against external comparators. It fails to see that even if each part is optimized, the performance of the whole organization can be disastrous if the parts do not interact well together. TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT has done a lot to improve design, but can be criticized for ignoring wider structural issues and the politics of organization. At other times, even if more parts are considered, there is the danger that they are all viewed from the same perspective. ANALYTICAL OR PIECEMEAL APPROACH may end up in failure. This also explain why some organizations end up in chaos after spending huge resources trying to fix systematic issues. The good news for organizations is that with SYSTEMS THINKING APPROACH being institutionalized in their organizations, they would be able to resolve all their lingering systematic issues. This is because it sees the entire organization as primary and does not try to break down organizations into parts in order to understand them and intervene in them. FOOD FOR THOUGHT Has there been a time quick fix solutions paid off in your organization? If NO, what are you going to do differently? SHOULD CEO’s ENDORSE THE QUICK FIX APPROACH? DANIEL ONYEKACHI
  • 9. 1. Business plan services; In this time brilliant business ideas are popping up in people’s heads but they lack the required skill to develop these ideas. Business plans are needed to help secure loans, investments and to make sure you keep the business running on target. All you have to do is learn this skill and develop yourself. 2. Cooperate cleaning service; Businesses like bank establishments and restaurants are in daily need of thorough cleaning during and after operation. All you need is a team of diligent people and your cleaning equipment. You don’t have to spend much on advertising cause your services will speak. 3. Consultant services; Do you have knowledge and experience on a specialized skill? Then consider starting a consulting business, you will find consultants in just about every field. Their job is to evaluate, give advice and information that will aid in the efficient running of that organization. 4. Event planner; Having a keen knack for throwing parties and you are hyper organized? Then don’t search any further because event and party planning may be just what is right for you. 5. Freelance graphic design; Don’t let the creativity die down in search of a white color job. No matter what type of design you do the key is to work on your portfolio and get a few referral if you desire to work with actual client, or you may consider using your design skill to create product such as business cards, website templates etc. 6. Freelance writing; Do you love to write? But not yet ready to launch a book? Then you may consider freelance writing. With content marketing becoming a key aspect for companies, there are more jobs opportunities for writers. To start, check some local businesses around you to see if they need help with blog post or creating other information such as report or short e-books. 7. Tutoring / teaching ; Not everyone “gets” the subject they are currently studying. There are many areas of people’s lives they could use a little help improving. If you are skilled in a specified area that others are having trouble with and love to teach, then consider tutoring. 8 LOW COST BUSINESS IDEAS.
  • 10. 8. Interior decoration; Most people moving into new homes can sometimes be overwhelmed with activities and responsibilities required to arrange the apartment. Interior decorating requires creativity and technicality. Inquire how the home owner will use the home, are there children? Pets? Old people? Then task your brain with the perfect design. 1. Protect Your Brain Cucumbers contain an anti-inflammatory flavonol called fisetin that appears to play an important role in brain health. In addition to improving your memory and protecting your nerve cells from age-related decline, fisetin has been found to prevent progressive memory and learning impairments in mice with Alzheimer's disease. 2. Reduce Your Risk of Cancer Cucumbers contain polyphenols called lignans , which may help to lower your risk of breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers. They also contain phytonutrients which also have anti-cancer properties. "Scientists have already determined that several different signaling pathways required for cancer cell development and survival can be blocked by activity of cucurbitacins." HEALTH BENEFITS OF CUCUMBER GRACE OLEHI
  • 11. 3. Fight Inflammation Cucumbers may help to "cool" the inflammatory response in your body. Animal studies suggest that cucumber extract helps reduce unwanted inflammation by inhibiting the activity of pro-inflammatory enzymes. 4. Antioxidant Properties Cucumbers contain numerous antioxidants, including the well-known vitamin C and beta-carotene. They also contain antioxidant flavanoids which provide additional benefits. For instance, quercetin is an antioxidant that many believe prevents histamine release, making quercetin-rich foods "natural antihistamines." Kaempferol, meanwhile, may help fight cancer and lower your risk of chronic diseases including heart disease. 5. Freshen Your Breath Placing a cucumber slice on the roof of your mouth may help to rid your mouth of odor-causing bacteria. Eating cucumbers may also help to release excess heat in your stomach, which is said to be a primary cause of bad breath. 6. Manage Stress Cucumbers contain multiple B vitamins, including vitamin B1, vitamin B5, and vitamin B7 (biotin). B vitamins are known to help ease feelings of anxiety and buffer some of the damaging effects of stress. 7. Support Your Digestive Health Cucumbers are rich in two of the most basic elements needed for healthy digestion: water and fiber. Adding cucumbers to your juice or salad can help you meet the ideal of amount of fiber your body needs — 50 grams per 1,000 calories consumed. If you struggle with acid reflux, you should know that drinking water can help suppress acute symptoms of acid reflux by temporarily raising stomach pH; it's possible that water-rich cucumbers may have a similar effect. A cucumber’s skin contain insoluble fiber, which helps add bulk to your stool. This helps food to move through your digestive tract more quickly for healthy elimination.
  • 12. CHIMENE CHINAH The importance of a healthy mind cannot be overemphasized, you become what you think. The mind is a very powerful tool which controls our feelings, emotions, thinking, perception, leading to our actions and decisions. Henry Ford said "thinking is the hardest job there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it". Everyone wants to be successful but most fail to think, instead they let their desire for success consume them. There is a price for everything, for success, it is your ability to think big and work smart. People who work hard put in much effort to achieve set goals. Smart people think first before working, they apply less effort to achieve goals under a short period of time compared to hard workers. To think outside the box, you must leave your comfort zone and start doing those things you are not used to. This sharpens the mind, giving you different angles to a particular idea. People fail not because they make mistakes, they fail because they don’t correct them. “Being broke is a temporary state, being poor has to do with the mind”. Failure is not a result of multiple mistakes, it is due to an unhealthy (shallow, scared) mindset. Thomas Edison made over 1000 attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps." Every system has an energy source which fuels it, for the mind, it is knowledge. This is the fuel that keeps the mind running effectively, the mind starts dying gradually when you stop learning new things. Shallow thinking leads to self-limitation, loss of confidence and self-belief. Great innovators are big thinkers because they see possibilities and solutions when others see problems and a dead end. The mind is an important gift given to us by God. Listed below are ways to develop a healthy mind SELF BELIEF Most people have a pre- programmed mindset that nothing good can come out from them, hereby failing even before starting a project. Believing in yourself builds your confidence, increases your reasoning DEVELOPING A HEALTHY MIND
  • 13. ability and enables you see possibilities where others see impossibilities. Impossible is nothing only if you believe in yourself. BE OPTIMISTIC Being hopeful about the future goes a long way in mind-development. You see a positive result even when passing through a challenge, giving you the courage to continue. Always think about your good points, it builds your self-image and confidence. If you are good in business, tell yourself that all the time. People around you should not make you feel inferior or useless. The first antibiotics Penicillin was discovered from a mold which cannot be compared to you. AVOID BAD COMPANY The close friends you keep play a role in your development as a person. Most friends always see the bad in every idea you share which in turn leads to demoralization. Staying around shallow minded people destroys your ability to think big, learn new things and on a long run, shatters self-confidence. If you are a programmer, teach someone programming, good in mathematics? teach it to your friends. This way, you see that area from different angles, learn new things hereby deepening your understanding on that particular area. READ ABOUT SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE There are two ways to learn: learning from others (mentors) and learning from past experiences (mistakes). Most people feel experience is the best teacher. No, you could also learn from other people without actually passing through the pains of learning from experience. Mike Murdock bought a book for $84, a young man said “I cannot believe you bought a book for $84”, his reply was impressive “Son, I did not. I bought a man’s life. What took him 70 years to learn, I will know in two hours.” Learning about their principles, mistakes, angle of reasoning provide you with a guide tool towards achieving your dreams. STUDY "You cannot give what you do not have", always exercise your mind by studying new things. Try to engage yourself in games (scrabble, chess, puzzle and other mind developing games), math’s solving and so on. Content filtering is an important learning tool because what you take in guarantees what you give out. • 15. Walt Disney was an innovator and a visionary. But he was also one of the most successful business leaders of his time. Here are eight principles that made Walt Disney one of the greatest icons of the 20th century: 1. Provide a promise, not a product: The legend goes that Walt Disney was sitting on a bench watching his daughters ride a carousel when he came up with the concept for Disney World. He noticed amusement parks and state fairs were always littered and poorly organized, and the employees were generally rude and resentful. His wife once asked, “Why do you want to build an amusement park? They’re so dirty.” To which Walt replied, “That’s the point. Mine won’t be.” From day one, Disney has focused on “the experience” as a key component to increasing the value of its parks. 2. Always exceed customers’ expectations: One of the reasons the Disney tradition stands the test of time is that Walt Disney was more critical of his creations than anyone else could ever possibly be. He was a relentless perfectionist with a keen eye for detail, often forcing projects to go over budget and past deadline because he wasn’t satisfied with the finished product. 3. Pursue your passion, and the money will follow: Walt Disney went bankrupt more than once, leveraging everything he had in terms of assets in order to build his studio, his films and his dreams. The more profit one project yielded, the bigger the next would be. His vision was constantly growing, and he used whatever capital he had to allow that vision to evolve. His films and theme parks were labors of love, built to revolutionize an industry, rather than maximize profits. 4. Stay true to your company’s mission and values: Walt Disney was famous for saying, “I hope that we never lose sight of one thing — that it was all started by a mouse.” Decades later, Mickey Mouse is still the crown jewel of the Disney franchise, representing all the good will and imagination Disney represents. He’s also a constant reminder that the company has strong roots and it embraces American values. 5. Differentiate your offer: Every facet of Disney’s operation is unique. Employees are called “associates,” visitors are called “guests,” creative designers are called “Imagineers.” WALT DISNEY’S 8 SECRETS OF SUCCESS
  • 16. And that’s just the beginning. The experience of being at a Disney theme park or staying at a Disney resort is all about creating a dream vacation — one where the attention to detail and personal service is just as memorable as the attractions themselves. 6. Lead by example and delegate: Walt Disney was the artist who originally sketched Mickey Mouse, as well as several of the other iconic Disney characters. He even voiced several characters and provided the inspiration for a lot of Disney’s animated classics. As he built a studio which evolved to an empire, he hired reliable men and women who understood his vision and trusted them to translate that vision to others. By the time Walt broke ground on Disney World, he hadn’t drawn a character for decades nor was he a daily fixture at creative meetings. He built a strong foundation and developed self-reliant managers who embraced his vision. That allowed him to turn his attention to even bigger dreams, while the company and its employees continued to prosper. 7. Defy convention: So much about Walt Disney’s rise was about bucking the odds and ignoring the critics, whether it was show biz insiders telling him no one would ever sit still for a feature-length animated film, or others saying Walt was crazy for buying acres and acres of murky swampland in central Florida, Disney always trusted his instincts first. Einstein once said, “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.” Walt Disney was a perfect example. 8. Leave behind something to grow: According to one historian, “The true measure of a man’s greatness is what he’s left behind to grow.” Disney World didn’t even open its gates until nearly five years after Walt Disney’s death. And yet, the tradition continues to evolve, almost 45 years later. While Disney has diversified in a number of ways, it’s still the company that started with a mouse. Perhaps Walt himself put it best: “Disney Land is something that will never be finished, something I can keep pushing and adding to. I just finished a live-action picture. It’s gone. I can’t touch it. I want something live, something that will grow. The park is that.” FOR ADVERT PLACEMENT AND SPONSORSHIP PLEASE CONTACT GODWIN: 0816-313-4975 CHIMENE: 0706-419-9402 realideasenterprise@gmail.com
