Global Shapers Community marked 5th
anniversary, but still not everyone aware of who are
shapers. To help raise awareness about Global
Shapers we launched e-campaign "Know a shaper".
Each Kyiv Shaper takes over Hub's social media for
one week. During takeover Shaper makes up to 3
posts per day and focusing on:
- own story and what inspires,
- things he/she do,
- how he/she shapes the world.

17. #GoGlobal Contests
In order to raise awareness
among Ukrainian youth about
importance of learning foreign
languages in partnership with
NGO GoGlobal Kyiv Hub
conducted several contests
asking young people to say
what «global» means for
them. Winners received
tickets to the premier of top
new movies, demonstrated in
language of origin.

Shapers Community and
brought #PeaceTalks to
Ukraine. Also invited
everyone to join online the
Geneva Peace Talks at the
United Nations in Geneva,
organized under the theme
“Peace Happens!”

young Ukrainian
Parlamentarians of the
Interfactional Union

Annual Meeting in Davos
Kyiv Hub organized
fireside-talk with Ukrainian
Shapers, Young Global
Leaders and
Parliamentarians on how to
promote Ukraine.

opportunities of setting

21. Charity Campaign
for #GoGlobal Camps
In order to contribute to the
development of a new, well-
educated generation of
Ukrainians, who will think as
global citizens, Kyiv Hub
collected money to support
GoGlobal Camp (camps for
children were they learn
foreign languages from native
speakers) - wonderful format
of innovational education
accessible to children from all
over Ukraine (including
Donetsk).

Global Youth Day
Placed Ukraine on a global map by organizing a moderated panel
discussion in a framework of UN International Youth Day at the
Ukrainian Crisis Media Center. Leading experts that affect policies
of Ukraine gathered to exchange ideas and discuss the role of
youth in achieving sustainable development through energy
efficiency. The event aimed to raise awareness among young
people on energy efficiency and responsible consumption.

This is not an official WEF program, it is
a privately organized YGLs and GSs
Trip. Ukraine Discovery Tour is open to
Global Shapers with a number of
places available to selected group of
the YGLs members. The agenda
includes meetings with the business
leaders, social activist and
entrepreneurs, media, IT guru and
other extraordinary and unique people
in different spheres and industries.

Kyiv Shapers was excited to be selected to host
ShapingDavos 2017.
In cooperation with Hromadske.International
Kyiv Hub organized a panel discussion on the positive
power of the Fourth Industrial Revolution
with leaders from different spheres of expertise related
to the topic. Panel discussion was broadcast
live and also recorded in order to be distributed to the
broader audience.

Survey Affiliate
In Ukraine, young people (those who 14-35 years) constitute
nearly one third of the population. Ukrainian youth is
characterized by a rather high educational level and civil
activity. However, so far, its voice has been relevant mostly
only locally. For the Kyiv Hub it was both a pleasure and
honour to endorse the views of young Ukrainians globally and
to represent Ukraine through the Global Shapers Survey.
