PROFILE.
A senior and professional executive, with extensive management experience, across a wide range of
commercial activity. A highly effective risk manager, with strong contract and legal experience in the
structured trade and commodity finance industry. Well developed network among both the banks and
the trade and, a proven hands on “deal maker”, having brokered and managed transactions covering

GKE Metal Logistics Pte Ltd (A Louis Dreyfus Commodities Group Company). 2012 to present.
General Manager of a London Metal Exchange (LME) warehouse company.
Responsible for the overall management of the Metal Division including the P&L.
Responsible for the business development of the Division.
Managing all operational matters with regard to LME rules, regulations, compliance and risk.
Managing and building strong key relationships with Banks, Clients, Customs, the LME and
Singapore Government organisations. Controlling all pricing matters and commercial strategy.
Risk grading, limit setting, monitoring and management of exposure to Clients, Banks, service
providers and the LME. Design / implementation of mitigants and preventative measures to keep
the company from harm.
Origination of process efficiencies to provide better client services, risk management and cost
reductions,
Working with GKE Metals Shanghai office to support and promote their interests, provide advice
and guidance. Liaison and communication with international Banks and Clients on behalf of
GKE Metals Shanghai.
CIMB Bank Berhad, Singapore Branch. May 2011 to July 2012.
Associate Director. Structured Trade & Commodity Finance.
Hired to help grow a start up division by building a regional structured trade & commodity
finance loan book, throughout the Bank’s ASEAN footprint.
Primarily involved in finding Clients, origination and, structuring of lending to Borrowers.
Responsibilities included negotiations with Clients, putting up term sheets, assisting in
drafting credit application memos for Credit Committee approval, dealing with legal firms on facility
and security documents and, building and maintaining Client relationships.

suitability for lending against stored commodities.

CWT Commodities (SEA) Pte Ltd (formerly Cornelder Group) Singapore. 1997-2010.
Director (wef 2001) of a Singaporean owned public listed company specialising in collateral
management services, financial solutions for inventory and supply chain, LME warehousing,
shipping, distribution and, total logistics.
Primarily responsible for the business development, profitability and operations of all the Group’s
collateral management activities in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Also
responsible for all contract review, pricing for services, risk management, legal matters, liability
insurance coverage, agency and J.V. agreements.
Primarily responsible for research and prospecting, amongst the Banks and the trade, in the
pursuit of new business. Thereafter responsible for maintaining strong client relationships based
on performance, service and, for selling other CWT Group services, for value add.
Primarily responsible for thorough risk evaluation and the mitigation of risk, on the companies
behalf. Conducting all CMA contractual negotiations between Banks, Lawyers and Borrowers.
Joined the company in 1997 as Regional Manager, Marketing & Business Development, reporting
to the Managing Director. Initial task was to help turn the company around from previous two
years losses.
After comprehensive analysis of the business, formed a small team to focus on our collateral
management services, and promoted this niche product aggressively, with notable success in
Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Cultivated strong relationships with clients and leading
structured trade finance banks.
Losses were arrested in 1997. 1998 was promoted to General Manager for the Singapore
company and Country Manager, Indonesia, during which time the Group in Asia, returned to
profitability.
Special assignments. Author of the Group’s “The Guideline Manual of Collateral Management
Warehousing” (2000). Initiated, implemented and qualified the company for ISO9002. (Lloyds
2001). Launched CWT in Korea (Feb 2002). Launched CWT in Vietnam (July 2005). Actively
involved in developing CWT’s collateral management business in Dubai, UAE. Appointed
Owners Representative for construction of new warehouse in Tuas (Completed -2003).
Occasional contributor to Trade Finance Magazine and, speaker at structured trade & commodity
finance seminars.
Ivaran Lines Asia Pte Ltd. 1993 - 1996.
3. Marketing Manager-Asia/South America trade. Employed by Norwegian Ship Owners office in
Singapore and responsible for the Asia service. Turned over USD15m per annum which I
generated by planing and supervising the sales activities of a large international agency network.
Total responsibility for all commercial activity within the service including: profit and loss, pricing
policy, tariff construction, cost analysis, volume and revenue budget, market analysis, strategic
planning, business development, advertising, monthly revenue reporting, agency performance
and motivation.
Traveled extensively throughout the Asian region and South America to secure cargo accounts,
search for opportunities and maintain contact with diverse markets. Managed all agency sales
activity providing continuos training as required.
Responsible for agency termination, evaluation and appointment plus negotiation on terms and
conditions of representation.
Comprehensively involved in all operational matters including container forecasting & control,
demurrage collection, equipment balancing, claims handling and associated legal issues.
Elected Local Committee Chairman in Singapore (18 Forum member lines) to initiate rate
stabilisation and enhancement.
Alpha Courier Services Ltd. 1988-1993.
General Manager. Based in the UK and responsible for nationwide operation of largest
independent courier company in the country. Core business being international and domestic
courier services.
Employed by Owner to turn the company around in the face of imminent bankruptcy. Carried out
rapid evaluation and audit of the business to identify key problems. Devised and implemented
successful business plan for return to profitability. Successfully negotiated with banks and
creditors for restructured payment plans, thus allowing time for the company to recover.
Shut down loss making branches and accounts, enforced tight cost control and effective cash
flow management whilst simultaneously growing the customer base to generate new revenue.
Enhanced margins on existing business without customer defection. Aggressively pursued bad
debt and recovered large sums that had previously been written off. Nurtured the company back
to profitability personally securing new volume business from blue chip accounts such as Dupont,
Marconi, GEC and Unisys.
Introduced a “quality culture” and “pride in performance program” leading to increased customer
satisfaction and better productivity.
Negotiated sale of the company to Jonen Shipping Ltd., a United Kingdom Freight Forwarder and
NVOCC operator.

General Manager. 15 years with the Inchcape Group mainly in the Arabian Gulf with associate,
Gray Mackenzie & Co Ltd. Managed branch offices with full profit and loss responsibility in United
Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Management positions, running branch offices in the Gulf. Complete responsibility for the day to
day management and profitability of a very broad range of businesses.
Extensively involved in running the Transportation Division profit centers (Shipping, Tankers,
