Bernardo has set out to bring prestige, quality and the most up to
date designs to dining and kitchens. It was our biggest dream to
do what has never been done before anywhere in the world. We
worked with our own original concepts that conveyed our feelings
and interpretations to our business whilst also portraying our
constantly renewed enthusiasm and compassion for our work. All of
our colleagues, whom we have sailed out on this journey, have also
embraced their work with love and keenness above and beyond of
what is professionally expected from them. In a short period of time,
we have managed to create a brand of envy owing to our tableware
and kitchen quality, exquisite designs and themes.
We are aware that we are still at the
beginning of our journey. At most within
the next five years, we are determined
to double our accessibility within our
country’s borders, to expand towards
neighbouring territories with similar
consumer profiles. To achieve this goal,
we work doggedly with the support
we receive from our customers and
employees. We aim to excel ourselves
everyday by developing new ideas and
projects.
On this journey that started from a single store; our greatest desire
is to continue to grow within and beyond our country’s borders as a
Turkish brand. Our sincere gratitude is to everyone who did not spare
any effort and support to contribute Bernardo to achieve it’s goal.
3. 1984 Foundation of Bernardo, the leader of the
tableware market in Turkey today, dates
back to 1984, when Mr. Nurettin and Mr.
Ömer Sözen launched a store on fashionable
Bagdat street of Istanbul.
In 1997, we started importing tableware and gifts,
which in return carried us to an assertive position in the
sector
By 2000, we began expanding allover Turkey via
opening stores by one after another at shopping malls.
A friend at the table for years!
In 2004, we left behind wide-scope of a classic store
approach for home decoration, tableware and dowry, and
focused on Bernardo Bellini concept stores, where tableware
and accessories and wide range of kitchenware collection
are introduced in parallel to table design expert identity.
As of 2005, we continuously renovated our
product range for each collection, and enriched the diversity
and high-quality of accessories and tableware.
After 2007, the ‘Bernardo brand perception’
began to form amongst the big cities because of our
increased quality, expertise and the importance we place
on modern design as well as the products themselves. We
started to have a loyal customer base.
In 2009, overall number of stores reached to 47
in 13 provinces, and our service network has expanded. By
this, we Bernardo have achieved to get closer interaction
with our customer base.
In 2014, taking into account of our customers’
requests, we resolved to launch stores on standalone
streets with busy foot traffic, where no shopping mall
abundance is present, hence, we have launched 8 street-
stores in addition to the ones at malls within the last 6
months of 2014.
Today,we have 92 stores with a total indoor
area of 13.700m² in 28 important provinces of
Turkey.
4. Bernardo Bellini employs 56 employees at head office,
488 employees at store operations, and 36 employees at
logistics department, which makes a total labor of 580.
In Istanbul, the logistics center of 12.000m² serves as our
central warehouse.
Our target is to increase the number of stores – currently
92 - up to 150 inland, and to launch 20 stores in at least 5
countries, in 5-year term.
Our target group mainly consists of 18-45 ages, women,
residing in cities and included in middle/upper-middle
social economic class. The significance given in Turkey with
regard to pre-marriage plays great role in creating our classic
product range in widest manner.
Bernardo Bellini is the most-preferred tableware and
kitchenware brand by upper consumer class, thanks to the
modern designs, high-quality products, and the unrivalled
in-store approach.

market demands in fastest and most
appropriate way, and to introduce
perfect solutions accordingly. Today,
we are presenting diverse and modern
design alternatives and elegant
collections in terms of tableware and
kitchenware. While doing this, we are
also closely monitoring worldwide
trends and progress in the industry.

Each and every porcelain sets being
marketed in-stores are designed
exclusively for Bernardo Bellini. Each
season we renovate our product range
by brand new patterns, and incorporate
state-of-the-art approaches in
accordance with worldwide trends.
Such efforts always ensure Bernardo
Bellini to offer the trendiest collections.
Furthermore, we are also studying on
theme-collections related to a specific
age, or on special projects collaborating
with respected art historians and
designers.
“Istanbul Collection” created in 2010
for Istanbul, awarded as International
Culture Capital, or “Ottoman
Collection” are among examples of
such theme-collections.
8. Training is
of essence!
Each and every sales representative
we employ go under store
management training, which also
includes store- and sales standards,
prior to recruitment.
Besides, detailed product training
and table manners training are
also provided, which ends with
an orientation period of 1-month,
thereafter, a sales representative
becomes ready to render highest-
quality service to customers.
