But irresistible forces don't always provide helpful pushes. Have you ever had your plans delayed or put on

Perhaps fashion suddenly changed, and no one wanted any longer the kinds of products or services you
provide. Perhaps laws were changed to make the regulation of what you were planning to do difficult to
implement. Or perhaps the raw material costs suddenly became very much less expensive for an old-
fashioned version of what you make, and customers flocked to the suddenly cheaper alternative. Maybe
warm weather meant that winter coats weren't needed in December.
Imagine your organization as being a jetliner traveling across the United States. Because the jet stream flows
generally from west to east, this powerful and highly changeable wind, this irresistible force, will have a large
impact on your journey.
The average nonstop coast-to-coast flight takes about five and a half hours. If you travel from east to west, the
jet stream will add more than two hours to the time it takes to travel from west to east. The difference results
from having the jet stream as either a head wind, retarding your progress, or as a tailwind, helping you
forward.
Of course, if you are traveling from south to north, the jet stream will also delay your journey somewhat by
pushing you off course and forcing you to fight off some of its effects as a crosswind.
Here's another example of how irresistible forces can be harnessed for your benefit. Have you ever watched a
small, slim person use judo to defend against attacks from larger, more powerful people? The judo user will
actually employ the strength and inertial direction of the attacker to make self-defense easier.
For instance, if the attacker throws a punch, the judo defender can grab the wrist of the attacker's extended
arm as it speeds forward and pull the attacker to the ground by tripping her or him at the same time. Of
course, without the judo, the results could be quite different.

be used successfully in such a defensive way. However, the most exciting potential is their use in a positive
way to create irresistible growth for your enterprise.

If I get an outdoor dark wicker furniture set, how can I protect it from dog pee?
I LOVE this outdoor living room set I saw..it will go underneith a patio. Where I live it doesn’t rain much BUT my dogs
pee on everything. Is it possible that I take off the cusions and, maybe, spray paint it with a clear gloss to protect the
‘weatherproof’ wicker?

They make a spray to keep dogs away from stuff. Go to you local pet store and ask them what it is. You can also
spray things with garlic oil or vinegar to keep dogs away. Not sure how long the garlic would smell in your
situation but the vinegar smell goes away in a couple days but still continues to work. We got a puppy for xmas
and he decided to destroy our carpet. I sprayed the carpet with vinegar and he decided he didn’t like it anymore.

Where can I find inexpensive nice looking patio furniture? ?
I’m looking for a nice outdoor patio set for my balcony, preferably two deep seating chairs with thick cushions and a
love seat. I’m wanting it to be under or around 300 though, anyone know of a place that sells quality at a good price?
Everything I’ve found has been 1,000+!

Teak outdoor furniture attracting bees?
We just bought an outdoor patio set that is made out of teak wood. For some reason an assortment of bees such as
wasps and yellow jackets are attracted to it. There is no nest under the table or anything. What makes them so
infatuated with the furniture, and how should I get rid of them? I’ve tried spraying wasp and hornet spray at them but
they still come back…

6. I had a similar problem but we had a nest under the a chair. Once that was removed we didn’t have any problems.
Double check all the furniture for a hive, it might be tucked in a corner under a chair or really just really small. The
only other thing I can think of is that they are attracted to the oil that was used to finish the furniture. You may want
to try rinsing the furniture off and lightly scrub or wipe it down to see if that helps.

Patio / outdoor furniture?
I cant afford outdoor furniture…I have looked every where and its so expensive (400 and up) is there anything else I
can use for patio furniture…any ideas. We live in Oklahoma and I love the warm weather. Could I use a futon..or would
it rust? If I brought the mattress in at the evenings…I feel bad that my family cant enjoy sitting outside, but at the
moment we just don’t have extra money for a patio set…i have even looked on craigslist and everyone that is selling
theirs wants 350 and up for used stuff…any ideas at all would be helpful and please don’t be rude

Whenever I go to Rite Aid or pretty much any drug store around here, they have those stackable resin chairs out
front for like $10 each. They also have resin patio tables for about $30 and umbrellas for about $30. They also
have powder coated metal frame with glass top end tables for about $20 each. If you want chaise lounges, people
7. are selling those aluminum-framed with plastic webbing vintage ones on eBay for about $25 each.
For a larger area of shade, you can also find deals on about a 10 foot square easy-up for less than $50.
Regarding a futon, you could probably put one outside. But, with the humidity in Oklahoma, it may rust fairly
quickly. Especially if you left it out in a rain or hailstorm. When you buy a futon mattress, however, it usually comes
sealed in a plastic bag. I would leave this on the mattress for increased moistrure protection.

How to spray paint fiberglass wicker patio furniture?
My mom got a great deal on a fiberglass wicker-like table and chair set (outdoor patio set). She wants to paint it, but
I’m not sure how to go about it…It’s in great condition, just needs sprucing up from the putty color it currently is. Do I
use spray paint? Semi Gloss and a brush? HELP!

Where can I find a good sale on outdoor patio (chair and bench) cushions?
I got a really nice outdoor patio set (3 wooden high-back chairs and 1 high-back bench) from my aunt who was getting
rid of them. The only thing I need are cushions…but Im on a pretty tight budget and everywhere Ive looked the prices
seem pretty steep. Are there any places that sell all weather-cushions that are reasonably cheap (but at the same
time not cheaply made)?

How to do I protect outdoor patio furniture w/cushions?
We just bought a patio set which includes thick chair cushions. They say they have been treated to be water repellant.
Do we need to move them every time it rains? What else should I do to protect the padding? Thanks.

The padding is also designed to be fast drying, but if it is going to rain Friday night or Saturday morning and you
know you’re going to use it Saturday afternoon, it might not dry fast enough for you.
Being water repellent and fast drying are certainly a help, but they still tend to get a bit dirty out there. If I’m not
going to be using them during the work week, I take them in and put them back on the weekend. If you notice after
a few months that they are not as water repellent as they were, you can buy a spray can of the repellent to renew.

I think you mean an umbrella and those are available anywhere patio furniture is sold. A canopy is something that
would be attached to your home and unroll over the patio. There are companies that offer these and they would
have to be professionally installed.
