2. Feedback
โข To ensure that I made my documentary the best it can
be as the final product, I have decided to make 3 drafts
of my documentary to be able to see my process
throughout the editing process. This also allows me to
gain feedback from my peers which are part of my target
audience for this project. By gaining feedback I am able
to see what I need to improve on and what I have done
well so far. To find out this information I created a short
google survey by asking 2 questions which were:
โข What could I improve on?
โข What have I done well?

3. What can I improve on?
When asking my target audience different questions to allow me to see what I have
achieved and what I could improve on within this documentary. After uploading my
second draft I showed my peers to gain feedback from them. The first question I
asked was:
What can I improve on?
By asking this question I can see that I need to improve on:
Video clips framed to size
Sudden cut before interview
Include music over childhood images
By asking this question it has allowed me to see what I have done incorrectly
within this draft and allows me to see what is needed in my final product. Within
this draft I was able to nearly complete my Sam Fender section, by including
childhood images I was able to create a visual representation for my final
product. This allowed me to create a voiceover that followed his journey from
being a child through to the present day. With the music element I struggled to
add any copyright free music to include over the childhood images, so as said
previously I added a voiceover to the childhood pictures. For the sudden cut
within the interview I struggled to find a way on how to transition between the
two interviews so I wanted to work on that for the final product.

4. What have I done well?
The final question that I asked that I know would help me when creating my final
product was:
What have I done well?
By asking this question I was able to find out that I had done well on:
Clips at the start of the doc
Images of childhood
Lighting on interview
From asking this question I am able to see what I have done well within my
second draft. By my peers being within the target audience age of 16-24 it
was important t me to see what they thought about it. From my survey
results I can see that a few people likes th eclips that I had included at the
start of the documentary, these clips are various parts of different music
videos from Sam Fender. When putting them in my video I placed them in a
specific order, I decided to place them in order from the start of Sams career
to present day, this allows my audience to see the growth within Sams
career and in his music. Another element that was mentioned was the
images from his childhood, I had a similar reason to include images of Sam
when he was younger to once again show growth from just being a young
boy in North Shields to being Leeds festivals headliner in 2023. The final
thing that was mentioned was the lighting on my interview with James, as I
have said previously I wanted the lighting to be dark to add curiosity to who
