The music must create tension - there must be a piece of music which
builds the tension for the viewer. This is vital for the movie as is makes
the main character seem more scary or scared depending on who it is.
Change in camera angles – the quick changes in the camera angles
means that there are many different views of the actions which is
occurring. This also may confuse the veiwer as they may not know what
is going on or why there is so many quick cuts meaning they are also
allowed to get more shots in.
Shadows- they can be effective as they commonly are used just to see
the image of what is happening without knowing who it is.
Low key lighting - this is dark settings this is because they are able to
have the identity kept secret because they are in a dark setting

Flashbacks – this can be a chance for them to go back in time and look
at what they have done to make them go like that. Or why they may
want to go after someone specifically.
Use of photographs – The use of photographs so the main character
can look back at there past or past events which may have lead them to
change how they are.
Unexpected situation – the characters normal day has a change in
events which takes them out of there normal routine
Ordinary character – a character is interrupted by an unexpected
situation and is forced to take action because of this for example this
could be because of love or wealth.
A source of fear – This is what the character will be confronted by
throughout the film also that the character overcomes at the end of the
movie.
