Battery Energy Storage System
System Overview: 1MWH power station energy storage system includes;
• 2 - 500KWH sub-energy storage systems, each of them is composed of 1pcs 100KW energy storage bi-directional converter
• 1 BMS (Battery Management System)
• 1 backstage monitoring and management system
• 1 set LiFePO4 battery pack . LiFePO4 battery pack is composed of 3456pcs RFE-F100 modules in series and parallel to make a
cluster; 12 clusters in parallel
The whole energy storage system is controlled
by one monitoring and management system (web

Li-Ion Battery Storage
Example: The Realforce Energy Storage System is a
1-megawatt-hour unit capable of producing 1 megawatt
or 2 megawatts of continuous AC power from a 40-foot
shipping container weighing 35,000 kilograms. The
container can be mounted on a concrete pad or on a
wheeled trailer.
1. High energy density, about 6-7 times than lead acid batteries
2. Long life span, more than 6 years
3. Up to 7000 charge and discharge cycles
4. Warranty: 2 years
5. High nominal voltage (work voltage reaches 3.7V or 3.2V for
monomer cells)
6. Low self discharge rate, which is one of the most outstanding
features. Presently below 1% (less than 1/20 that of MH batteries)
7. Light, low volume, and weight only 1/5-1/6 that of lead acid
batteries
8. Better adaptability with high and low temperature, with working
temperature range between -20℃--60℃; -45℃ is also available

Battery Specifics
 Grid charge automatically ( choose charging and discharging strategy according to the features of the energy storing
components, such as the typical four phases charging management)
 When grid discharging, the discharge rate can be fixed before hand or be timer controlled in the monitoring system
 When grid discharging, PQ decoupling control active and reactive independently and respectively
 In the grid-connection, work with dispatching system, balance the peak and off-peak according to the historical curve or
the actual electricity load
 In the grid-connection: works with AVC, this can control the static and reactive power grid; output reactive power in
emergencies to avoid low voltage load tripping and breakdown, controls dynamic reactive power
 In off-grid applications, system can provide stable voltage and frequency to loads in the isolated network and can prevent
from over discharging
 In grid-connected, it realizes stabilizing intermittent wave changes output feature of intermittency
 Protective functions will protect safety of converter and battery in case of malfunction
 Self-checking functions check input, output, and CPU of control loop thus prevent damage of hardware and wiring
 Ethernet equipped: CAN and RS485, MODBUS enabled, IEC61850; can be easy connected with monitoring system and
control systems
 Provided LCD connector that supports local setting
 Provided CSPC software will record malfunctions, adjust setting defaults, and test input and output connections
