2. Step One: Getting Started
Now that you’re an individual member of Generocity, you have access to our ever-
growing number of tools to help the nonprofits you care about. Here’s how to get
started:
Use our search bar to find your favorite charity in our database.
Click on its listing. (If you can’t find your favorite nonprofit in our directory, you
may need to add a listing for it. Visit the NONPROFITS page to learn how).
3. Step Two: Follow your Non-Profit
Click Follow to become a follower of the organization.
What does it mean to follow a nonprofit on Generocity? You’ll receive updates when the nonprofit is
featured in a story, changes information on its listing or adds a fundraiser. It will also help to raise the
profile of the nonprofit on Generocity and maybe attract more donations.
Don’t forget to also follow any fundraisers associated with your nonprofit. Simply click the Follow button
to the right of the fundraiser. Like following the nonprofit itself, you’ll receive updates and your action will
be posted to both the Generocity newsfeed and your profile.
4. Step Three: Make a Donation
Feel inclined to make a donation? You can donate to the organization directly by clicking the
purple Donate button.
5. Step Three: Make a Donation
You’ll then be brought to the Donate page, where you can fill in your
desired donation amount and proceed to our PayPal verified checkout.
6. Step Four: Invite Your Friends
Now, influence others to show their support. Click Invite friends to follow this
nonprofit and fill out the below form to send an encouraging message to
Generocity members or 10 contacts you have who may be interested.

Do the same for the nonprofit’s fundraisers by clicking the associated Invite
button.

You can also spread the word through your social networks! Simply utilize
our Share bar.
9. Step Five: Suggest Updates to Listings
While interacting with your favorite nonprofit’s profile, did you see any
information that was missing or incorrect? If so, you can either update the listing
yourself by clicking Update this listing, or you can send the organization a personal
message encouraging them to complete their listing by clicking Nudge.
