Having grown up in a “real estate” I have years of sales experience and I am good at it! I am
looking for a sales position that will allow me to utilize my skills and experience the financial reward!
Education and Skills: Sales Solve Everything (7/2015), Associates Degree (2005), Alicia Smith
College of Real Estate 1986. Multi-line phone system, copiers, printers, scanners, MS Office
including Word, Outlook, Excel, and some Publisher, filing, typing, data entry, etc., I was previously
a licensed realtor in the state of Texas.
Work History:
12/2015 to 10/2016 Altura Homes at Chisholm Crossing McLendon Chisholm, Texas. I was the
New Home Sales Consultant at this community but also sold completed SPECs in other
communities. I answered phones, consistently worked guest registration cards and internet leads,
kept in close contact with area realtors via email and visiting realtors offices, even organizing events
with realtors and our Preferred Lender, wrote contracts on build jobs as well as SPECS, made sure
the model was in tip top shape, attended sales meetings, and much more! I am the New Home
Sales Consultant that doesn’t mind going in early or staying late…. I know this community inside
and out, as well as my competition. On numerous occasions, I was told by buyers that I was the
reason they were buying from Altura (in spite of the BBB’s “F” rating and a very recent channel 11
expose’). People realize I don’t lie to them, and they trust that. They know I go above and beyond
to help them.
8/2015 to 12/2015 Megatel Homes at Williamsburg, Fate, Texas. I was the Sales Assistant to
Steve Jones at Williamsburg and Wood Creek, then was quickly moved to Rockwall Downes and
Townsend Village in Rockwall. I kept the model in tip top shape, showed the model, showed SPECs,
wrote, called Zach Ipour, (owner of Megatel – as per procedure with contract information),
presented contracts to Chris and Kristin the Corporate Sales Managers, answered phones, attended
sales meetings and much more. Though I was an assistant, I was put in as effectively a salesperson
only without the benefit of being paid sales commissions.
5/2014 to 7/2015 Open House Network Southlake, Texas. I filled in, on an as needed basis,
at model homes in the Rockwall County and surrounding areas. I showed models and specs, for
Lennar, Dr Horton (and Emerald), Highland, Ryland, Beazer, and more. I was most recently on
ongoing assignments (personally requested by both) Beazer at Williamsburg and with Lennar
2. Homes at Chamberlain Crossing. I was encouraged by several salespeople to get back into selling
“officially” as I was already doing the work and making the sale!
4/2011 to current The Pruit Law Firm, Rockwall, Texas. I have filled in at the law office
answering phones, filing, scanning, assisted in preparation for the preparation of legal docs, proof-
read legal docs, etc., on an as needed basis. I still make time to fill in periodically on an as needed
basis.
2001 to 2010 Overlake Hospital, Bellevue, Washington. As an independent contractor
for this Northwest premier hospital for just shy of 10 years, I worked under Susan Higley in the
Family Education Department as a Supersitter Instructor. I creatively taught 10-14 year olds and
planned and prepped for classes, integrated guest speakers into my curriculum driven classes. I left
this position as I moved back to my home state of Texas.
1991 to 1999 Kent First Christian Church, Kent, Washington. I was the Child Care
Coordinator for the church and handled virtually all aspects of child care and the facilities. I
supervised volunteers and employees, coordinated activities and organized special events. I made
all purchases of supplies, scheduled and was in charge of hiring and firing. I left this position as my
terminally ill mother needed more full time care.
1989 to 1996 Goodman Financial Sevices/Northstar –Lynnwood, Renton, Federal Way,
WA. I managed, established, rehab and new lease-up properties and specialized in new lease-up
apartment complexes. I collected rents, managed office and maintenance staff, inspected move-ins
and move-outs, typed and reviewed rental agreements, organized events, published community
newsletters, etc. I left this position when my mother became ill with cancer and needed a
caregiver.
1982 to 1989 Judy Griffin Real Estate/Judy Griffin Homesitters –Austin, Texas. I was a
licensed realtor, builders rep for 9 builders, and office manager. I answered phones, copied, faxed,
scheduled, typed contracts and homesitter rental agreements, researched properties as well as
markets, tracked advertising (results and monies spent), tracked agents stats, wrote ads, typed MLS
listings, coordinated with builders and banks with REOS, scoured foreclosures in the Wall Street
Journal, AP/AR and so much more!
I literally grew up in a real estate sales office – it’s in my blood, so to speak…. I left for a
number of years, but upon return to Texas, gravitated back to sales. I’m still really good at it and I
LOVE it! I am seeking a position that will allow me to put those skills and talents to use while
making both me, and the company I work for, successful! I go above and beyond giving 100% of
myself, and more to make sure the job is done right. I am committed, comfortable in both new
builds and SPEC sales and I do what I can to make sure I have satisfied customers! I can easily pass
any background check and have included references.
