Single Euro Payments Area Luxembourg Compliance (SEPALC) is a project for organization
wide implementation of European Union regulation that mandates banks to allow usage of IBAN
(International Bank Account Number) for payments by customers. All customer interface such as e-
Banking & mobile banking screens, corporate action letters, Fee letters, loan letters, collateral
agreements, Investment agreements, FOREX and settlement reports, cash & custody account
statementshadtosupport cashaccountsinIBAN format.Interfacesbetweenmanysystemshadtobe
analyzed and changed for consistency. All the systems needed to be switched to IBAN in
synchronization.
Responsibilities as a Project manager
Creation of the project charter.

bonds, mutual funds in dematerialized form. Custodian services include account book
keeping, corporate actions/Income distributions, proxy voting, advisory, tax reporting, and
trade settlement services. The bank provides custody products like pooled-investment,
mutual funds,employeeincentiveschemes, Individual Saving Account & third party trades.
The sub systems comprise of Core custody, Corporate Action, Central Securities Depository
(CSD) interface, Fee system and End of Year reporting.
Implementation of IBAN for Finland in custody department.
All Custodyrelatedcustomeroutputhadtobe made SEPA compliantinFinland byuse
of International Bank Account Number.
Transition of IM-Action system from Denmark to India.
IM-Actionsystem receivesSWIFTfromdatavendorsand createsaGoldenrecord.This
record is used for processing corporate actions and also for price speculation. The

cost of maintenance.
Corporate Action – Subscription letters
Subscription letters sent to customers had to be rectified and upgraded. The letter
channeledinfive differentlanguagesandcountriesneededde-couplingforeffective
maintenance.
SWIFT messaging – MT535
As a local custodian we send Statement of Holdings to global custodians and
Institutional customersin SWIFT format. The project was to make enhancementsto
include physical place of sub holdings.
Target2Securities.
To reduce the cross border transaction cost in the Euro zone, many countries have
committedtoa common settlementengine.Currentlythe settlementacrossborders
happens via multiple intermediaries. T2S is a wave based implementation covering
few countries in each wave.

An application consisting of both batch and online was developed to automate
reconciliation of subscriptionand redemption prices of funds betweenDanske Bank
and Danske Capital (AMC).
New Security Master File Implementation.
This project aimed at re designing the securities databases for better storage and
accessibility. Custody being an upstream user of this database needed changes in
several programs.
Fee System enhancements
The bank charges various fees like maintenance, value based, transaction, volume
based and asset management fee. Enhancements are made to the system as per
business need.
Corporate Action - Old Dividends system
Dividends issued to physical shares were being calculated and paid out manually in
Finland. The information was being tracked in excel sheet. The requirement was to
develop a new system to integrate this information with other corporate actions.
