Meaning
• One that leads or guides.
• One who is in charge or in command of others.
• One who heads a political party or organization.
• One who has influence or power, especially of political nature.
Definition
Leader is the person who leads or commands a group,
organization, or country.

• Capacity or ability to lead.
• A group of leaders
Definition
The action of leading a group of people or an
organization, or the ability to do this.

4. Leadership Style
A leadership style is a leader’s style of providing direction,
implementing plans, and motivating people.
There are many different leadership styles that can be exhibited by
leaders in the political, business or other fields.

• Autocratic
• Paternalistic
• Laissez-faire

6. Democratic leadership
style
Democratic leadership in an organization involves the
redistribution of power and authority between employees
and managers to provide employee involvement in
decision-making.
The Leader includes the
employees in the decision
making process to determine
what to do and how to do.

7. Autocratic leadership
• Centralizes power and decision-making in himself.
• Gives orders, assigns tasks and duties without consulting
the followers.
• Takes full authority and assumes full responsibility.
Example
• The great Hitler
• A traffic cop
• A teacher

8. Paternalistic leadership
Paternalistic leadership is a managerial approach that involves a
dominant, male father figure who takes complete charge of the
employees, his subordinates, in an organization. In return,
employees show their trust, loyalty and obedience. This style of
leadership is fairly similar to autocratic, with the only difference
being the lack of a fatherly leader in the latter style.

• Religious Leaders
• One famous paternalistic leader was Henry Ford, an American
industrialist who founded Ford Motor Co.

9. LAISSEZ – FAIRE OR
FREE RAIN STYLE
Laissez-faire leadership, also known as delegative
leadership, is a type of leadership style in which leaders are
hands-off and allow group members to make the decisions.
Leader helps only when asked by employees
Example:-
• Experienced work force
• Highly skilled work force

I am following the Democratic leadership style,
because of I want to give chance to everybody to say, everybody
to participate in any activity and take decision about the
organization, company, and firm.
