3. Accomplishments.
I have eleven years of experience onboard Transocean rigs and overall fifteen years of
experience in the Oil & Gas / Maritime industry. During this period I had the pleasure to
contribute in various successful operations and projects. e.g.
• Operated and controlled different Dynamic positioning systems ; Alstom , L3, Kongsberg ,
dealt with all navigation equipments in the bridge , prepared many rig moves between
wells in the fields , long rig moves between contracts.
• Conducted all kind of DP trials between wells, DP & sea trials after Shipyards (FMEA)
trials.
• Engineering side controlled a the VMS (Vessel Management System), PMS (Power
Management System ) and Stability of the rig ( Ballast Control System ).
• Worked in the maintenance & inspection of all marine work related (safety equipment,
emergency equipment, fire & gas system, all ballast tanks and lines, bilge system, loading
and unloading of bulk system, testing and inspection of lifeboats.
• Liaised with various surveying parties e.g. (DNV.GL, ABS, MODUSPEC and Flag States)
dealt with all kind of audits from the Flag states and oil majors
• Barge Engineer Jack Up work related, dealt with all marine work related (Jacking system
and rig move, all safety equipment, stability, loading and unloading of all bulk systems
and liquids.
• Operated and maintained emergency systems and shut downs. e.g. (Emergency
generators, emergency fire pumps, life boats, fast rescue crafts, fire dampers, equipment
safety shut down controls, quick closing valves and hydraulically operated water tight
doors).
• Participated in safety meetings and safety drills. e.g. (Fire drills, abandon ship drills, black
out recovery drills, emergency ballasting drills, emergency steering drills, pollution drills,
gas drills, man overboard drills and security drills).
• Worked under various leading Oil & Gas companies' safety management systems. e.g.
(BP, Chevron , ENI , Total , Tullow, Camac , CNR).
• Ensured compliance with the regulatory requirements for environmental protection.
• Mentored, developed and trained subordinates to complete their on the job training
modules and to be fully compliant with company policies and procedures.
• Shipyards Work before Transocean: - Marine Engineer dealing with all kind of ship
construction and repair, welding, Steel Structure, pipingsystems, mechanical installations,
and maintenance.
• Sailed on board cargo ships of Egyptian Navigation Company performing the normal
duties of the Maintenance engineer.
