TVET and Higher Education Institutions in Zambia have been providing ODL programmes as a way of increasing access to learning programmes. In order to improve the administration and delivery of ODL programmes some institutions have being using ICTs. 2. Overview of Paper
 TVET and HE Institutions in Zambia have been providing
ODL programmes as a way of increasing access to

 In order to improve the administration and delivery of
ODL programmes some institutions have being using
ICTs.
 This paper outlines the role that various stakeholders in
the TVET sector have played in the planning and
implementation of educational technology in teaching
and learning.

 The paper examines some of the lessons learnt by the
Ministry, TEVETA & the Technical and Vocational
Teacher’s College (TVTC) in the leadership and
governance of technology in the TVET sector.
 The session also looks at the enablers and challenges in
the use of technology in TVET.
 Also discussed is the role of partners in building capacity
in the leadership and governance of educational
technology.

 The paper concludes by looking at lessons learned in the
use of technology in TVET and provides policy
recommendations in ensuring sustainable leadership and
governance in the use of technology in Vocational
Training and Higher Education.
