Before Construction
Design Plan Sanction Municipal Corporation The design plan created by the architect is submitted along
with an affidavit (stating that you will abide by all regulations)
to the Building section of Municipal Corporation.
Once the plan is sanctioned by the Municipal Corporation, a
sanction letter is sent to you. It typically takes 3- weeks.
You then need to pay the sanction fee, and get the stamped
design plan back from the authority. This stamped design
plan is referred to throughout the construction.
During Construction

You need to fill a water meter application form provided by
the Jal Board and then submit it along with an affidavit and a
specified fee to the Board.
Once the meter is sanctioned, you get a sanction letter within
3-4 weeks. The meter is installed when the construction is
complete and you have obtained the completion certificate.
Electricity Meter

Electricity Board You need to fill an electricity meter application form provided
by the Electricity Board and then submit it along with an
affidavit and a specified fee to the Board.
Once the meter is sanctioned, you get a sanction letter within
3-4 weeks. The meter is installed when the construction is
complete and you have obtained the completion certificate.
You can also get temporary connection for a limited period of
time during construction - by submitting an application for
temporary connection along with a copy of the sanction letter
for construction of the building.

After Construction
Completion Certificate Municipal Corporation A house Completion Certificate can be obtained from the
Chief Zonal Officer of the municipal corporation/local
development authority of your city. You need to submit proper
completion certificate application form along with various
documents to the concerned officer, along with a fee of Rs.
20.

The corporation officials inspect the property to see if it is
made as per the sanctioned design plan. In case all
specifications are followed, then the completion certificate is
provided within 3-4 weeks duly signed and stamped by the
authority.
In case there have been certain violations, the completion
certificate is not provided and a penalty might be charged.
