11. What are GDSCs?
Google Developer Student Clubs are university based
community groups where students learn about Google
developer technologies and use their skills to solve
local problems.
The club is open for everyone and we encourage more
students to join us to learn new skills, grow your
network and take part in our projects and events!

16. Google DSC-EU IDEATHON
Dec 10 - 16, 2022, 1:00 PM (CET)
Ideathon was a week-long event, supported by Google Devs Europe, that
gets you ahead of the game for solution challenge!
During the event students were taught how to come up with new great
ideas and plan on how to execute them. You will use your creativity and cool
tech skills to design the architecture of a scalable application.
Students and mentors had productive conversations together and they even
continued to chat after the event was officially over.
17. Google DSC-EU IDEATHON
GDSC Unideb’s project proudly won the Honourable mention throughout
Europe.
The project aims to enhance the mental health of individuals by tracking
their moods via facial emotion recognition and obtaining meaningful
patterns out of them.

18. Introduction to Firebase

In collaboration with GDG Budapest, GDSC BME, Pécs and GDSC Debrecen.
Our speaker, Dominik Šimoník is a Google Developer expert for Firebase
with over 5 years of experience in mobile development.
He is passionate about helping developers ship high-quality products faster.
He is an organizer of the biggest Google Developer group in the Czech
republic.
The event was hydrid both online and offline.
19. Hash Code Team Programming Competition
Thu, Feb 24, 2022, 5:00 PM (CET)
Hash Code is a team programming competition, organized by Google, for
students and professionals around the world. You pick your team and
programming language and we pick an engineering problem for you to solve.
Top teams will then be invited to compete from our virtual World Finals.
In collaboration with KSZK and the Google Developer Student Clubs at
Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Eötvös Loránd
University (ELTE), University of Pécs (PTE), University of Debrecen (Unideb).

23. The Google Developer Student Clubs 2023 Solution Challenge mission is to solve for one of
the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology.
● 17 SDGs created by United Nations in 2015 to be achieved by 2030 and aim to end
poverty, ensure prosperity and protect the planet
● In 2018, Developer Student Clubs (now GDSC) decided to collaborate with the UN to
inspire student developers to come together as a community, learn, and build real
solutions for real problems (using the UN’s 17 goals as a guide)
