2. Paul did not believe in Jesus, and so he
persecuted the believers. He went from house to
house in Jerusalem to arrest both men and women
and to put them in prison.
Pablo no creía en Jesús y por lo tanto perseguía a
los creyentes. El iba de casa en casa en Jerusalén,
para arrestar tanto a hombres como a mujeres y
llevarles a prisión.
3. While Paul was on his way to Damascus, a bright
light from heaven shone all around him, and he fell
to the ground. Paul heard someone say, "Paul!
Paul! Why do you persecute me?" Paul asked,
"Who are you, Master?" Jesus replied to him, "I am
Jesus. You are persecuting me!"
Mientras Pablo iba por el camino hacia Damasco, una
gran luz del cielo brilló a su alrededor, y él cayó al
suelo. Pablo oyó a alguien decir: “¡Pablo! ¡Pablo!
¿Por qué me persigues?”. Pablo contestó: “¿Quién
eres Señor?” Jesús le contestó: “Yo soy Jesús. Tú me
estás persiguiendo.”
4. When Paul got up, he could not see. His friends
had to lead him into Damascus.
Cuando Pablo se levantó, no podía ver. Sus
amigos tuvieron que llevarle a Damasco.
5. There was a disciple in
Damascus named
Ananias. God said to him,
"Go to the house where
Paul is staying. Place your
hands on him so that he
can see again.”
So Ananias went to
Paul and placed his hands
on him. Paul immediately
was able to see again!
Había un discípulo en
Damasco llamado
Ananías. Dios le dijo:
“Ve a la casa donde esté
alojado Pablo. Pon tus
manos sobre él y
volverá a ver".
Así que Ananías fue
a Pablo, y puso sus
manos sobre él.
Inmediatamente Pablo
fue capaz de ver otra
vez.
6. Right away, Paul began preaching in Damascus,
saying, "Jesus is the Son of God!" The people
were amazed that the man who had tried to
destroy the believers now also believed in Jesus!
Enseguida, Pablo empezó a predicar en Damasco,
diciendo: “¡Jesús es el Hijo de Dios!” La gente se
asombraron de que el hombre que había intentado
destruir a los creyentes ¡ahora creía en Jesús!
7. After many days, the Jews made a
plan to kill Paul. But Paul heard about
the plan, and his friends helped him
escape. One night they lowered him
over the city wall in a basket. After
Paul escaped from Damascus, he
continued to preach about Jesus.
Después de muchos días, los judíos
planearon matar a Pablo. Pero Pablo
oyó el plan, y sus amigos le
ayudaron a escapar. Una noche le
bajaron de los muros de la ciudad en
una cesta. Después de que Pablo
huyera de Damasco, continuó
predicando sobre Jesús.
8. Paul traveled to many
cities, preaching and
teaching people the
good news about
Jesus. He also wrote
many letters to
encourage and teach
the believers. Some of
these letters became
books of the Bible.
Pablo viajó por muchas
ciudades, predicando y
enseñando a la gente
las buenas noticias
sobre Jesús. También
escribió muchas cartas
para animar y enseñar
a los creyentes.
Algunas de esas cartas
llegaron a ser libros de
Biblia.
