2. He [Jesus] was
despised and rejected
— a man of sorrows,
acquainted with
deepest grief. It was
our weaknesses he
carried; it was our
sorrows that weighed
him down. He was
pierced for our
rebellion, crushed for
our sins. He was
beaten so we could be
whole. He was
whipped so we could
be healed. (Isaiah
53:3-5)
3. Let all that I am praise the
LORD; with my whole
heart, I will praise his holy
name. Let all that I am
praise the LORD; may I
never forget the good
things he does for me. He
forgives all my sins and
heals all my diseases. He
redeems me from death
and crowns me with love
and tender mercies. He fills
my life with good things.
(Psalm 103:1-4)
4. Can anything ever separate us
from Christ’s love? Does it
mean he no longer loves us if
we have trouble or calamity, or
are persecuted, or hungry, or
destitute, or in danger, or
threatened with death? No,
despite all these things,
overwhelming victory is ours
through Christ, who loved us.
Nothing can ever separate us
from God’s love. Neither death
nor life, neither angels nor
demons, neither our fears for
today nor our worries about
tomorrow—not even the
powers of hell can separate us
from God’s love.
Many are the afflictions of the
righteous: but the LORD
delivers him out of them all.
(Rom 8:35,37-38; Psalm 34:19)
5. I will give you the keys of
the Kingdom of Heaven.
Whatever you forbid on
earth will be forbidden in
heaven, and whatever you
permit on earth will be
permitted in heaven.
These miraculous signs
will accompany those who
believe: They will cast out
demons in my name, and
they will speak in new
languages. They will be
able to handle snakes
with safety, and if they
drink anything poisonous,
it won’t hurt them. They
will be able to place their
hands on the sick, and
they will be healed. –
Jesus (Matthew 16:19;
Mark 16:17-18)
6. For you who fear my
name, the Sun of
Righteousness will
rise with healing in
his wings. I will
restore health unto
thee, and I will heal
thee of thy wounds,
saith the Lord.
Surely the arm of
the Lord is not too
short to save, nor his
ear too dull to hear.
(Malachi 4:2;
Jeremiah 30:17;
Isaiah 59:1)
