Born in 1978, Francesco Fatone is currently Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Verona. Francesco's major research topic concerns: (1) the biological treatment wastewater of wastewater and/or organic waste, (2) nutrients removal and resource recovery from anaerobic digestate and (3) xenobiotics removal and fates in WWTPs. Within IWA, Francesco is co-chair of the Specialist Group on Small Water and Wastewater Systems and member of management committee of IWA working group on Alternative Water Resources based in China.
