Our Vision - Make beekeeping accessible to everyone, anywhere, by creating a new hive in accordance with EU standards whose drawings/plans will be free for all interested parties, impacting on an increase in the number of beekeepers, enabling the survival of bees in the world.
Apiform Sit-In Beekeeping for all - English version
1. Sit-In beekeeping for all.
Innovative ways of beekeeping and
training of future beekeepers.
2. *our visionMake beekeeping accessible to
everyone, anywhere, by creating a new

3. The entire project APIFORM is the father-son initiative, who created the hive and project with joint efforts. Together they toured
Europe to promote the implementation of the project, presenting ideas on symposia, conferences and forums in some of the most
influential cities in Europe. Almir and Haris continue to work as the greatest ambassadors of project APIFORM, new ways of
beekeeping and modern education.

5. * 3 directions of APIFORM project
The concept APIFORM is divided into three parts, which are interwoven to
present the complete package to the end user
1. APIFORM Beehive
Beehive intended for everyone. We bring
inclusivity and accessibility for all to the
world of beekeeping, introducing the
term "SIT-IN BEEKEEPING"
2. Online/Offline education
Education of present and future
beekeepers over the Internet and
"live" lectures
3. Video/Audio production
Recording , video editing and
production in the form of educational
and creative presentations
05
6. * Sit-In Beekeeping!?
Concept of our making, shows how you can really keep bees while sitting, because we know that beekeeping can be
challenging in its basic form
06
Then Now
7. *our goalOur goal is to raise rural and urban areas
with beekeeping, the only branch of
agriculture that does not require tillage but
promotes the utilization of the existing
natural vegetative cover
8. * European Commission Award
At the end of 2015 we have received the prestigious award from the European Commission for the best social
innovation for the project APIFORM, beehive for Sit-In beekeeping
As a reward, Almir and Haris have received 50,000 euros that were invested to the Foundation Forgotten
Garden for project APIFORM, to raise the project to a new level in which we introduce training of new
and existing beekeepers in the direction of modern technologies, innovative approaches to knowledge
and sharing of ideas in beekeeping and similar branches

11. * Steps toward APIFORM beehive
We've gone a long way, the path that led us to the creation of a single hive for all
Desire
The desire for
beekeeping arises from
the need to preserve
the bee world
Biology
We realize that the most
important thing in the bee
community is its biology, its
primordial behavior and habits,
which led us to deeper research
12 prototypes
It took time and effort
to get to the hive that
we have now. A lot of
sleepless nights and
hard work
APIFORM beehive
Beehive that we have now
and the tendency to
further improve it with
you as users
11
12. * Biology, Biology, Biology
The most important part of beekeeping is to understand how they function, what are their biological urges and
how they manage in nature
The most important discovery in beekeeping, which has contributed to the development of
beekeeping as a branch of the economy and its preservation in order to improve crops. We at
APIFORM bring modern knowledge from the world of science in our hive in order to create the
ultimate single hive for developing bees and bee colonies.
Bee space
APIFORM helps faster and better development of bee colonies in the spring,
incorporates 10 frames of Daden Blat (DB) surface facing vertically which meets the
surface on which bee colonies love for best wintering and movement on vertical axis
during the winter. (King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, evaluation of bees in nature,
October 2014)
Using DB frames are easier for professionals, beginners and hobbists for handling,
larger frames for better brood development and larger storage for honey.
The development of bee colonies
12
13. Beehive is created in accordance with the Law of the European Union for Organic Beekeeping; (EC) No 834/2007
We have met the requirements for organic production of beehives through material selection and quality of wood
We work with our bees using organic methods of treating and working with bees
We do not use the built wax foundation, the bees made their natural wax without admixture
The first hive in the world that allows you to work while sitting
Hive incorporates over 20 of our innovations, as the result of joint efforts
Compliance with the rules of movement for people in wheelchairs and people with limited mobility
* Regulation and achievements
In order to recognize our beehive in the academic world of beekeeping, we had to meet certain criteria and
regulations, which we did:
13
14. * Use of APIFORM beehive
Different applications of APIFORM hives, most evident in the following
Stationary beekeeping
The primary purpose of APIFORM
hive is beekeeping from one place
Nomadic beekeeping
Of course, migratory beekeeping
gives the best yield so APIFORM
hive can be used on vehicles and
other locations
Urban beekeeping
The latest trend in beekeeping,
APIFORM joins the movement of
urban beekeeping
14
15. * Problems in beekeeping
These are not problems with bees, stings, nor the situation with pollution
in the world or pesticides, our problems arise from the very beginning
To be a successful beekeeper
who has a higher number of
hives, you must master the
techniques of carrying.
APIFORM hives are stationed
or on vehicles which allows
easy transport without
carrying.
Carrying
The beekeeping means a
lot of transport, were we
move the frames or the
whole box of angry bees,
moving is the basic part
of beekeeping. APIFORM
uses techniques of
frame-to-frame
beekeeping making it
easier to work with large
number of hives.
Moving
"If I had known how good
beekeeping is, I would do
it from an early age" - a
statement from the
majority of beekeepers in
the world, however, we
realize that too late, and
we have to catch up and
shorten the useful
working hours with these
wonderful creatures.
Years of Life
Keeping bees is hard work,
you always need someone
who will help you to carry
the hive from the unloading
place to the place of
pasture. With APIFORM
hive you work while sitting
and alone. All who are
around you at that moment
really want to be there, not
because they have to.

Reason: lack of mentors and
opportunities to gain
experience

20. * The ideal places for APIFORM
APIFORM was created with the intention of keeping within objects, because you approach the hives from the back
side while the bees come out ahead
Ideal for the stationing of
APIFORM hives in one
place. Closed, with cabinets
for placing beekeeping
equipment and making
extracting easier.
Garage
Of course, APIFORM is not limited to these types of placement but they contribute to a better
winter survival and better maintenance of hives and organisation.
20
Are a popular choice for the
placement of hives of any
kind. Many beekeepers are
positioning their hives
beneath the canopies of
various types to protect
against rain and weather.
APIFORM beehives can stand
next to your car without
problems.
Unused attics, or separate
lofts are a great place for
APIFORM beehives, where you
can keep them without fear of
theft. The rest of the space is
used for extraction and
storage space.

21
22. * Urban beekeeping
Popular in the 21st century, a trend that caught
Europe and the world
Flowers of urban balconies
Despite the tought of under-
nutrition of bees in the city, there
is the fact that we have healthy
unsprayed flowers
The rise of urban farming
The city is becoming increasingly
popular for chicken breeding, for
small animals, on roofs or balconies
Create your own value
It is enough to say that we can give
ourselves the best gift in the

22
23. * Urban beekeeping
This trend is increasing in the world, people keep bees on rooftops and balconies
Bee colonies are located on the building of Opera in Paris, the National Bank of England in London,
skyscrapers in Tokyo and many other places in big cities without any problems
23
Rooftops
24. * 4 causes of disappearance of bees (4P)
It's not just one thing that kills bees, it is a set of different causes
Parasites Pathogens Poor Nutrition Pesticides
Bees pollinate the crop value in the amount of 200 billion Euros in the world, the
information which is leading us to focus on saving and sustaining bee colonies.
24
25. * +one more (4+1P)
The most important of which it all starts, which most affects the poor practices of beekeepers
Poor Education
Bees are responsible for 1/3 of the food we eat. 100 types of crops that make up 90% of food around
the world, 71 is pollinated by bees. Why should we jeopardize them with our NON-Education and bad
practices.
25
26. * Education and online platform
The second part of our concept, where we educate current and future beekeepers, enthusiasts and
professionals to enhance their business
The first platform in the world
For beekeeping and implementation of
organic lifestyle in everyday life
Community of beekeepers and enthusiasts
Persons who have bees or want them can learn
techniques, treatments and attitude towards
these wonderful creatures
The exchange of ideas and experiences
The exchange takes place via video materials, the
written word and DIY projects
26
27. * Focus of APIFORM platform
Beekeeping is a profitable business, no doubt, and because of that we
would like to convey our experiences and the experiences of others to our
community
Self-employment
Allows the profitability and productivity of
individuals or whole families
Sustainability
Beekeeping provides results every year, to a
greater or lesser extent, which contributes to
the sustainability of business
Community
Together we are stronger, together we can
do more and better
27
28. * Advantages of Distance Learning
There are various benefits of distance learning, shows numerous international research. Some of them are
Scalability
It is easy to scale up in the future
and increase the knowledge base,
connect and introduce new
techniques. So we can quickly
create new lessons, if necessary, to
our users.
Students retain attention because
the lessons are short, on-the-point,
concrete and they are easily
explained
We can send bigger and clearer
message to students. Each student
receives the same attention by the
teacher through answers on
questions, and chat one-on-one
Savings in terms of money and
time, because learning over the
Internet requires less time and
fewer resources
Monitoring the progress of
students and their evaluation is
easier and faster because it allows
you to automate the evaluation
process based on defined criteria
Of course, we reduce, if not
eliminate, the amount of waste
paper, because all learning takes
place via the Internet
28
Students learn at the time when it
suits them, at their own pace and
way of learning. Of course, they do
not spend the time to go to the
location of lectures
Due to the better organization of
the lectures, lessons include
videos, photos and 3D animations
to better evoke and mimic
material that is explained
Coverage Retention Time
Savings Grading Waste Better View

„BEEKEEPING AS (API)THERAPY“
Retired Professor of art history and comparative literature,
beekeeper with enviable skills and head of beekeeping
workshop in the House for the Elderly "Maksimir", supervisor
at the School of commercial and ecological beekeeping for
persons with disabilities in Zagreb, a prominent member of
the "Propolis group" and only women Beekeepers Association
“Maja”, Association for promotion of Equal opportunities.
Approached us with words of support and desire to
implement the project to persons with limited
mobility in Croatia. Ms. Jadranka has written a book
about her life in wheelchair and obstacles she faced
while dealing with her great love in life, beekeeping.
61. OPPORTUNITIES FOR
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
APIFORM is not based only on the development of bees and bee
colonies, but is regarded as a medium that will help to expand
beekeeping as a branch and promote the development of beekeeping
among young people, in an innovative and creative way
53
62. * 3d mapping
Our goal is to scan, capture and map important areas of beekeeping in BiH, as well as an area of great historical
importance. This is a part of APIFORM project we're working on since March 2016. We create a 3D map that will
be able to rotate, zoom in and view as you are above the area, and as such will be used for planning of
beekeeping and other activities
61
63. * NDVI and elevation maps
NDVI - Normalized Difference Vegetation Index,
graphic indicator which shows healthy green
vegetation
62
ELEVATION MAPS, maps showing the relative
height of land in order to establish relations
and exploring areas that surround us
64. * Augmented Reality
We use AR to present new ideas and 3D models in the real world, in order to better display an object. We
have successfully implemented AR technology in our project through fun and creative ways to bring
beekeeping closer to young people and help them explore the world around them.
63
65. * Virtual Reality
VR is a from of visualization of 3D space as if a user is inside, the 3D environment is presented in that way
that seems real, looking through special glasses and thus experiencing a new world around you. It is
primarily used to simulate beehive experience and work in the apiary.
64
66. * Branding of honey and other bee products
Branding as part of a marketing promotion of honey and bee products is essential for the quality
development of beekeeping. We, with a team of designers, give meaning and create new packaging and
products to the market, offering creative and innovative solutions to contribute to the popularization of
honey and other bee products.
