Most nonprofit organizations already have an online donation button on their website. But that’s not what we’ll be talking about today. We’ll be talking about online person to person fundraising, which means individuals reaching out to their friends, family, and colleagues on your behalf to raise money for your organization. These are new donors you wouldn’t received contributions from otherwise.
These are examples. Each person has their own page, with their own personal story, the cause they are supporting, their photo, a video, a fundraising goal, and ultimately, it’s their contacts whom they send their appeals to and in return receive donations from. You can see the nice comments their friends leave behind.
You are probably aware of different services that offer online fundraising abilities. It can seem confusing and overwhelming. We really try to keep online fundraising simple, in fact so easy… well you probably know the Ad.According to many research studies including on Charity Navigator, your costs of offline fundraising can be expensive, 10% - 30%. Online fundraising is cost efficient and the cost per dollar raised is a fraction of what most organizations pay today. So you will actually lower your cost of fundraising.Do not under-estimate quality customer support, it’ s critical to a positive user experience and successful fundraising results.Rather than staff entering paperwork into your donor database, they can focus on best practices, communication, support, and increasing fundraising activity. You can literally sign up and start fundraising immediately, this does not require a drawn out training processAll the data and information people need is always at their fingertips, and information is power
