47. The Next Big Thing | Space
Reaktor Space
After Reaktor Aero and Robotics programs reaching for the stars
just seemed like the next logical step.
In September 2017 Reaktor will launch a satellite into Earth’s orbit on
the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
The aim is to show how mod er n high-quality software development can
benefit space progr ams, and to explore the possibilities of space
technology integration into everyday life.
The project has covered everything f rom the building of the satellite
and necessary ground control operations, to the development of next
generation software solutions that can utilize the satellite.
Reaktor initially co- oper ated with the Aalto University Space lab but
since then started a spin-of f called Reaktor Space Lab that employs
Aalto’s space hardwar e specialists.
