Fight Colorectal Cancer advocates for increased funding and awareness for colorectal cancer research and treatment. They educate patients and caregivers and push for policy changes to advance research. Though they accept funding from various sources, their programs are developed for those affected by colorectal cancer. Advocacy has led to greater public research funding and clinical trials for colorectal cancer compared to other cancers, but more work remains as mortality rates remain high.

6. Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
• The pancreatic cancer research community has historically been
small, fragmented, and poorly funded. The Pancreatic Cancer
Action Network believes that a comprehensive strategy is
needed to achieve a comprehensive cure. Through our research
grants program, we attract brilliant early career scientists and
investigators with innovative ideas to study pancreatic
cancer. By recruiting the brightest scientists with the most novel
ideas, we continue to build a broad research community, poised
to make significant scientific discoveries.
• The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network grants are administered
in partnership with the American Association for Cancer
Research (AACR) to ensure rigorous peer-review of grant
applications, so that only the most promising science is
selected for funding.
