Helping Our Pain and Exhaustion, Inc. (H.O.P.E.) is based in metro Detroit, Michigan. The group is founded by Michigan-native Sharon Ostalecki, Ph.D., who also serves as the organization's executive director. H.O.P.E.'s mission is to enhance knowledge and awareness of Fibromyalgia and chronic pain. This will be accomplished through educational programs in order to educate patients, health care communities, the public at large, policy makers and the media. Education is key to a greater understanding, acceptance and successful management, so that these individuals may live more fully, in spite of their pain.
