Highlighting what our opening sequence is about

1. Proposal: Fate or Failure

The "Fate or Failure" is a parody, horror movie, in which a group of teenagers enter a haunted
house in order to prove who was the bravest. "Fate or Failure" plays on the humorous side of
Horror movies, with an aspect of the typical ‘Hidden Camera’ show, where events are filmed, and
complied into a TV series, which is a competition.
5 teenagers enter the house, with only 4 leaving at the end of the challenge. The group could win
£100,000 if they spend a week in the House. The TV show, is advertised in the hope of attracting a
naive group of teenagers, who wouldn't be able to spend a few hours in the a house. However
while the producers see the house as just a set of practical jokes, the teenagers see it as an
opportunity to make a quick buck.
However when the Teenagers enter the house they realise they have bitten off more than they can
chew. With varying experiences in each room, one extreme as murder, the show is set to have an
eager audience and is scheduled to have a large number of seasons.
In our opening sequence we focus on our two main characters, Kelecia and Mia, who are
recounting certain events within the movie. We would like to include a running scene in order to
play out a sort of flashback. We would have used all the characters however as it is an opening
sequences by only focusing on two of the characters it helps build suspense and helps keep the
audience waiting.
The Characters:
Kelecia:
• Age: 17
• Culture Class: Guyanese, born in Porto Rico
• Backstory:She is the most naive but the easiest to scare when she gets scared she tends to get
tearful and tends to cling to the comfort of her best friend Mia
Mia:
• Age: 19
• Culture Class: English
• Backstory: She is the bravest of the group and she is someone the Kelecia aspires to be, she
doesn't fear anything or anyone
Jordan:
• Age: 21
• Culture Class: Black African, Ghanaian descent
• Backstory: He claims that he is not scared of anything but really he fears everything and once
scared he releases a tiny bit of urine.
Arnold:
• Age: 24
• Culture Class: English
• Back Story: He gives up easily especially when he can't be bothered he is money hungry but
fears nothing, everyone looks up to him because he is intelligent and the hardest to trick because
he always finds out what you are up to

2. Although a horror, the movie is going to be lighthearted and show the funny side of horror movies
and game shows
Feasibility:
The project is feasible if ever contributes to the production and gives there ideas as a group. Also
there are a lot of actors that can be used within the production.
