Main Achievments
Industrial
 Was leader for Industrial sites, with full responsability for Production, Engineering, Maintenance,
Quality Control, Utilities, Logistics and Planning.
 Made the start-up of a toothpaste producion facility, with a 70 tubes/min capacity. Was responsible for
the project, construction, training of employees, product development and start-up.
 Responsible for the evaluation and choice of the TPM that would produce ca. 100 SKUs for Natura in the
USA.
 Developed for Bunge Alimentos a complete business plan for its entrance in the Sugar & Ethanol market,
demonstrating that great energy sinergy could occur if soybeans and sugarcane were processed in
nearby plants.
 Reestructured the occupation of the Industrial Site of Jaguaré (Santista Alimentos), leading to the
transfer of the Dessert and Industrial Bread Mixes Units to this site. That was posible by closing down
the Soap and Industrial Produts Units.
 Led new design of resonsabilities for each position of the “Santista Alimentos” Vegetable Oil Refinery,
resulting in reduction of 20% of the labor costs, 12% of the fixed costs and 7% of the variable costs,
with 10% gain in productivity.
Research / Product Development / Innovation
 Reformulated all the haircare brands of Natura, leading to an increase of market share from 3.5% to 7%
in 3 years.
 Led the reformulation and repacking of ca. 100 SKUs for the launch of the brand Natura in the USA,
partnering with American R&D enterprises.
 Developed a new line of margarines for the brand Delicia Cremosa, in a very short period of 2 months,
to support a large marketing campaign for Bunge Alimentos.
 Carried through motivation actions with a new Research group, supported by HR, leading the team from
a low level of satisfaction (49% of favourability) to a high level of satisfaction, one of the highest with in
the Innovation VP (72% of favourability for the 1st year, and 82% for the 2nd).
 Strategical replanning of the Biotech Research group, giving it a higher relevance within Natura, which
led to the criation of a specific area for the theme at Natura.
Sustainability
 Led a multidisciplinary team, in charge of finding and introducing technical solutions that would allow
Natura to reduce its carbon footprint by 33%.
 Developed a new solution for an aerossol system, that reduced the carbon footprint by 80%.
 Introduced a new compact aerossol line of products that reduced the carbon footprint by 46%.

Natura Cosméticos – Cajamar – SP – 2006/2015
Ingredients Science & Technology Manager (2012 to 2015) – Led the reserach and development of the
entire portfolio of proprietary ingredients fo Natura (amazonian vegetable oils, essential oils, plant extracts,
sensorial modifiers) and the Biotech Research. Responsile for a team of 19 scientist and a budget of R$ 2
million/ year (excluding budget obtained with government subisidies).
Innovation and Sustainability Manager (2009 to 2011) – Responsible for the liason between the Businee Unit
(BU) and the Innovation and Sustainability areas. Leads all the BU product development projects (average of
60). Member of the BU board, which takes care for the administrative, financial and marketing aspects of the
business.
International Product Development Manager (2008) – Responsible for all product and packaging
development for the International BU (France and USA). Responsile for the technology and formulation
transfer to the TPMs in the USA.
Hair Care Product Development Manager (2006 to 2008) – Led all hair care product development, with a
team of 07 researchers.

products and/or processes, using vegetable oils. Leads the criation of the new Biofuels Business of Bunge

and leads the start up of the tothpaste production facility. Leads a tema of 300 employees.
