4. April Library Roundup
• Dewey Bingo Challenge! Students were invited to pick up a Bingo card
from the library and read nonfiction in five of the 25 squares. Students
who complete the challenge by May 9th will be entered in a drawing for a
$25 Scholastic gift certificate.
• New Falcon News Network candidates were interviewed and 8 sixth
graders were chosen to staff the news program next year. Congratulations
to Lynda P., Leighann M., Haley B., Saunya L., Dennis C., Matthew C.,
Bowen H., and Gracie M.
• Appy Hour was led by Mrs. Heather Rollings, one of our district technology
integration specialists, who taught us about our new learning
management system Canvas.
• We celebrated World Book Night on April 23rd by giving away copies of
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Enchanted, and This Boy’s
Life. Leading up to the event, students participated in daily trivia
challenges and won prizes provided by our library!
7. April iPad Update
• 9 iPads circulated to new
students or due to damage
or technical issues.
• The majority of issues for
April included running out
of memory/needing to
delete apps, missing apps,
and iCloud issues.
• All iPads were updated to
iOS 7.1.
• Damaged iPads are those
that must be sent in for
repair.
