from 700 to 900 employees. Guided and assisted all locations with their enrollments and accurate record keeping in
accordance with State, Local and Federal laws. Working along with brokers, created the most competitive benefits
portfolio than any other company (in the same industry and about the same size). Developed, recommended,

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Managed and administered employee benefits programs such as major medical, dental, life, short term
disability, long term disability, HSA’s, legal resources,vision, and various additional supplemental plans.
2. Evaluated and analyzed renewals. Compared plan renewals with other Carrier quotes and developed specific
recommendations for review by executive management.
3. Developed specification packets for employees for new or modified existing plans to remain competitive and
maintain the company’s reputation of having the best benefits package and the best corporate administrative
support for all locations.
4. Developed census data for Carrier’s quotes. Developed cost information and made recommendations to
executive management concerning sharing of cost between employer and employees.
5. Installed, approved plans and changes as well as preparing material, booklets, or (when available) media
technology for communicating with the employees. Conducted open enrollment meetings. Advised and
provided counsel management and employees on their benefits.
6. Prepared benefit plan documents (SPD) for participants. Ensured any turn over in benefits was prompt and
accurate.
7. Assured company compliance with provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA),the
Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) – administered in-house instead of outsourcing –
and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Served as the company’s HIPAA
Privacy Officer.
8. Developed and maintained all forms of benefit information, and statistical and census data for actuaries,
insurance carriers,and management.
9. Handled benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolutions. Facilitated proper
and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
10. Supervised and assisted in maintenance of enrollment, application, claims, and general use of benefits.
