2. COMPANY OVERVIEW
Established in 2013, Aptus Pacific was built on the idea of connecting different
groups together to bring more value to themselves. The word ‘Aptus’ itself in
Latin means: connected, suitable, fitting. As such, the company is committed
in creating connections between companies and other stakeholders, using
technology that is suitable for each of them, to eventually create fitting
platforms and communities that generate additional value for themselves.
Aptus Pacific Indonesia (API) provides a cloud engagement platform to enable
organizations to securely connect, engage and collaborate with large,
distributed communities of customers, business partners and suppliers. Our
platform, created in collaboration with our business partners, allows
organizations with complex external business relationships to create,
streamline and automat external mission-critical business processes that
involve the secure exchange of and access to critical information from
multiple sources.
The cloud engagement platform is offered as a service, commonly referred to
as Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and combines robust, cloud-based identity
management, portal, data exchange, integration and custom application
development capabilities. This can be integrated with on premise and hosted
enterprise systems, as well as other cloud-based data sources, and can be
deployed quickly, scaled to millions of users, and configured to address the
customer’s specific organizational requirements, including workflow, content
and branding.
The platform is delivered through industry-specific solutions that address
external mission-critical business processes common to companies across our
target industries. Currently API is focusing our solutions on two major
industries: global automotive and healthcare industries, in which the secure
sharing of complex and distributed data is of particular importance. We are
planning to actively expand our platform to a wide range of industries that we
believe have a significant opportunity to leverage our platform to enable
mission-critical business processes and to improve collaboration with external
parties such as customers, business partners and suppliers.

4. configured to meet customer and industry-specific business
requirements in order to support the development of timely new
business models.
Mission-critical scalability and reliability. Our platform provides a high
degree of scalability to support large transaction volumes, while
maintaining the highest levels of performance and uptime required to
support mission-critical processes.
Compliance. Our platform assists our customers with meeting
regulatory compliance obligations governing access to, and sharing of,

PLATFORM
Our cloud platform aims to make it easy for every end-user to engage with
you. We offer cloud-based, on-demand connectivity and communication to
organizations that require a highly flexible solution, without the cost,
complexity and risk of information and application sharing. It is capable to
connect organizations with all their relevant constituents on any location,
protocol, platform or device. Our solution enables organizations to
collaborate with every important audience, through a single user interface, by
extending their business and their applications onto the platform.
5. IDENTITY
Our Identity and Access Management Services handles the distribution of ID,
password and access-level on a cloud-based system, with a focus on security
and ease of maintenance. The goal is to efficiently reduce the cost and the
effort on maintaining Identity information, and drastically reduce the burden
of complex systems integration, the management of multiple IDs and
passwords, time-consuming reporting, security rules enforcement and help
desk administration. At the other hand, users can be easily administered with
automated and configurable workflow management and provisioned to
services, applications and content from sources across many sources.
DATA EXCHANGE SERVICES
Our data integration service layer automates business processes, improving
time to market while reducing cost. The Data Exchange Services works across
platforms with multiple data exchange options, providing organizations with a
true enterprise-grade API gateway. Information are routed to end-users,
whatever the origin of the data, and whatever the device on which the data is
received. The solution allows rapid, secure and flexible integration, insulating
organizations from the cost and complexity of changing document types,
formats, communication protocols, network connections and system
integration needs.
CUSTOM SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
We also offer multiple options to rapidly develop applications, standalone, on
the cloud platform or develop custom interfaces integrate existing
applications, to ensure that the organization's business can extend into the
platform. We understand that some organizations may not be ready for some
of the more advanced features of cloud platforms, and we are more than
happy to meet them where their technology level is. This will ensure that the
organizations remain flexible, even as the workforce, IT environment and
business strategies evolve.
6. SERVICES
We offer enabling services that include implementation, solution deployment
and on-boarding. Implementation services typically consist of user migration,
content migration, branding and configuration to support customer- specific
workflows. Our services engagements typically occur in phases and can vary
from a few weeks to several months depending on the scope and complexity
of the solution. Our customers may choose to do much of this work in-house,
through a third party, with us or with our partners. Our partners currently
subcontract most of the consulting work through API, with resources being
sent from the US for specialized contracts in the industry.
We maintain the data center and call center operations in Indonesia for our
partners for sensitive data that may not leave Indonesia by regulation. Our
data center is located in the only tier 4 facility just outside of Jakarta, and we
maintain the operations of the Indonesian platform through monitoring and
release management. The Indonesian call center operation supports our
healthcare solution exclusively, with support being done by engineers
experienced in implementation for customers.
We currently subcontract, and expect to continue to subcontract, portions of
our software development work to our third-party development partners. We
are actively building a network of third-party services organizations that serve
as API resellers, sub-contractors or referrals.
7. WHAT IS HIE ?
HIE (Health Information Exchange) allows for the storage and automated or
manual distribution of clinical and administrative information. It is used
extensively to facilitate and improve teamwork and communications across
the entire healthcare spectrum. HIE is a tightly integrated component of our
one platform.
Not only for the healthcare industry, HIE is a one-stop solution for your
company, whether it’s an automobile insurance, cargo insurance, life
insurance, or even manufacturing especially when it involves several parties
and users within your business, we are here to automate, make your business
more efficient in terms of processing time, reduce the use of paper,
information exchange between your internal and external organization.
8. Almost everyone in insurance company at this moment is waiting to receive
some requested information so they can do their job. Communications today
are difficult to track, not integrated with our workflows and un-auditable.
Using many communication transports such as the phone, fax, postal mail and
proprietary web portals make communication oversight and staff
interchangeability out of reach as best practices.
USE OF HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE
HIE can be used to manage and track messages to or from organizations,
whether they are using HIE or not. For facilities that are on HIE’s, every
message sent to them appears in the application. If the facility is not yet
online, you can still send them fax messages through HIE with an
accompanying fax-back cover page. Use of the fax-back cover page causes any
replies to be automatically routed as an electronic message to the appropriate
client record. In either case, HIE securely streamlines all of your
communications.
9. Since HIE is a client-centric system, all items of work accomplished are
associated with a client record. Whether you send a message, receive a reply,
create a document, assign a task, or process an authorization, you must
associate it to a client record. Each client record stores all of the client’s
administrative information. Any document, whether electronic or
handwritten, or any other information about a client can be placed in the
client record and securely sent to recipients.
SECURE COMMUNICATION
Automated or manual messages can be sent securely via HIE to a fax
destination, to the HIE application, to the HIE Inbox or direct to an EMR or
other application. Responses to faxed messages can automatically be
converted to electronic messages with HIE’s built in bi-directional fax
capability.
Once information has been added to the patient record, HIE allows for the
seamless sharing of the data across the community. Secure messaging
between providers allows for ongoing collaboration among the patient’s care
team. This sharing of information provides improved care coordination with
all providers and health plans in the community.
In United States, HIPAA compliance and security are always a concern
whenever patient records are being transmitted. HIE helps customers maintain
10. their HIPAA compliance with solid security and an unalterable audit trail.
Every message sent or received through HIE is logged AND date and time
stamped. You can see when all messages were sent and for online messages
when they were read and who read them. All messages are patient specific,
meaning they are logged with and permanently stored in the patient record.
You will always be able to see the complete message history in HIE as a record
of all communications, whether online or faxed, is stored in the HIE audit trail.
The data stored in HIE is secure and backed up several times a day.
INTERNAL WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT
HIE allows you to access information and immediately integrate it into existing
workflows. Information can be filtered on a per user basis to provide a
customized view of client, messages, documents and tasks. You can also create
customized rules that route information to appropriate administrators and
provides email notifications based on certain triggering.events.
HIE facilitates workflow through the use of worklists. A Worklist, like a case
load, is a collection of client records that you are "working". Worklists are
customizable and can be named based on business processes, locations, users,
groups of users and more. Worklists also allow for users to cover one another
in the event that someone is on vacation or not available. This ensures the
work flows continue and records are not lost in the event of someone's
absence.
11. IMPORT CAPABILITIES
HIE ’s import capabilities eliminate the need for the manual processes of data
entry and sending messages. For example, patient records can be
automatically created with an HL7 feed from the practice management system
or electronic medical record. A hospital may choose to automate the delivery
of various types of clinical and administrative documentation and laboratory
results to providers. Or, a Health Plan can use HIE to automate the claims
attachment request / response process. Aptus provides flexible “any to
any.messaging”..to.support.most.inbound.interfaces.
Specifically formatted patient information can be uploaded into HIE reducing
the need to manually enter patient records. This can be a one time or
recurring process. Fax contacts can also be imported.
ELECTRONIC FORMS
Custom forms can be designed by Aptus or created with a powerful forms
designer within the application. The web-based forms designer supports
multi-column and multi-section forms, field validation, auto-population, pop
up calendars, drop down boxes, electronic and fax-back signature attesting,
routing and many other features. eForms can be made available to the
provider network or used for internal workflows. HIE also supports the
integration of HL7, XML and other data feeds for even greater auto-population
12. capabilities. Web services allow customers to map custom form field data
directly back to in-house systems.
Medicaid and most skilled facilities require a physician's signature for an
approval request form to be valid. Depending on your workflows and
practices, you can easily obtain and process these signatures for your HIE
documents. The Forms Designer allows you to create signature areas that will
appear at the bottom of your eForm. You may configure signature areas to
match your user's signature workflows by choosing to leave a space for a
handwritten signature or to auto-populate the signature field with a user
name or electronic signature.
