- 1. Bachelor’s Degree Forensic Psychology Careers There are many career paths for people who study forensic psychology, including the following occupations.
- 2. Detective A detective is a specialist law enforcement officer who investigates the facts after a crime has been committed. These professionals should be prepared to interview people, investigate evidence and provide expert testimony during trial as necessary.
- 3. Child Custody Worker A child custody worker usually assesses whether parents are able to care for their children. They might be required to provide expert testimony in court.
- 4. Correctional Officer A correctional officer with a forensic psychology background can help inmates improve their quality of life, as well as deal with large groups of people in challenging situations.
- 5. Probation Officer After someone commits a crime and is released from jail or prison, he or she may be ordered by the court to meet regularly with a probation officer for monitoring and to receive counseling. A probation officer must believe that everyone deserves a second chance.
- 6. Psychological Assistant A PhD or PsyD is required to become a licensed psychologist, but these professionals often require help from psychological assistants to do research, perform experiments and work with clients.

- 10. Researcher A researcher collects, analyzes and reports information that is helpful to others in the forensic psychology field. Researchers may conduct tests to designed to discover trends or validate previous studies.
