3. TONS OF OFFICE PAPER DISPOSED EVERY DAY
WORLDWIDE
Economic: Increasing office paper consumption goes in parallel with
increasing cost of natural paper pulp. Despite the spread of digital media,
worldpaperconsumptionincreasesoverpastdecades.

Installation that implements the method of deinking paper with ultrasound in an organic solvent at a rotating tank.

9. Theory- Ultrasound
• High frequency mechanical waves above the human limit of
audibility
• Ultrasound can propagate in gases, liquids and solids
• Source of the ultrasonic might be ultrasonic bath, generator, homogenizer and
apparatus for cosmetic purpose

11. Theory- Supercritical fluid CO2 . Above its critical
temperature (31 °C) and critical pressure (74 bar)

13. Results from SCF CO2
After experiments with different solvents visible
results of purification of a paper from a toner was
not observed.
These results indicate that we need more powerful
ultrasonic generator embedded into high-pressure
chamber.
