Draddy currently serves as executive and
CEO of the Baltimore Area Council.

3. An engaging and high-interest training
program, the University of Scouting strives to
create highly qualified commissioners,
leaders, and other “Scouters.”
Students at the University work toward
increasing levels of certification, beginning
with the university's bachelor’s degree.
Students must complete seven credits in any
subject area to receive this credential and
then may go on to study toward a master's
degree, a doctorate, and ultimately a Fellow
Award.
Available only to participants at the Baltimore
Area Council's university, the Fellow Award is
given to those scouting doctorate holders
who design and teach a university course.
4. The university not only teaches the
techniques and information necessary to
create a positive scouting experience for
youth but also helps participants to more
fully understand the goals and mission of
the organization as a whole.
Classes are designed so that Scouters of
any experience level can learn and grow
in their commitment to serve scouting
youth. Patches and certificates indicate
completion of each individual level, which
a Scouter can then proudly display to the
youth under his charge.
