Dear Sir/Madam,
I write to you now in support of Erin Koch, who I am given to understand
has requested a statement of reference regarding her work for me on the
course ‘Manga Mania’.
I had the very good fortune to get to know Erin Koch over one remarkable
year at AIU, and was greatly encouraged by her development during the
course in question.
I watched Erin develop over her time at AIU in leaps and bounds and she
was, from the outset, keen to throw herself, body and soul, into a variety of
activities; barely wasting an instant whilst here in adding to her experiences
the cultural ‘tool-kit’ which she would be able to bring to bear on future
work/study.
With regard to Manga Mania, Erin’s written work was always well founded,
ably argued and critical. Her contribution to discussion was insightful and
she was always to be found seeking to push her group forward. As her tutor,
I will admit to some partiality here. However, I own that you will allow me
to speak proudly of a student who has done little if she has not made her me
very proud of her.
