This document provides instructions for configuring an HP C7000 chassis. It outlines setting the IP addresses of the onboard administrators (OAs), running the first time setup wizard to configure blade server and FlexFabric IPs, and initial virtual connect (VC) configuration including setting up uplink sets and server profiles. The document contains step-by-step guidance for tasks such as assigning ports to uplink groups, associating VLANs, and distributing bandwidth when splitting ports for multiple networks.

3. 1 HP C7000 Configuration
1.1 Set IP of OAs
Use hp c-class blade server OA to set onboard administrator card
1. Choose “enclosure settings”
Set “OA1 IP Address=10.66.22.10, mask=255.255.255.0, gateway=10.66.22.1”, after
that done, accept all. Set OA2 IP by the same way.
4. 1.2 First time setup wizard
Open IE, Login into OA by the IP which configurated before ( username and password
is associate with OA module)
Follow the “first time setup wizard”
10. 2 VC Configuration
2.1 Initial VC
Note: if you set ip of VC failed, you can not see “Management Console”
Login VC”https://10.66.22.12/html/index.html”
If VC is never configurated before, then you go through the “virtual connect manger
domain setup wizard”
13. 2.2 Config VC
”shared uplink sets”. At first, we need to set up uplink group for blades. In this case,
we set 4 port into a uplink group from each flex switch(total 4), but we only use 2 of
them.
Set” uplink set name” then add port from each bay to this uplink group
Associate with VLANs (Note: for each uplink group we have to add VLANs to it, so that
VLAN can go through the VC)
14. Set up other uplink group just like what you have done before
Go to “server profiles”
15. Click” mutiple networks ’. You split 1 port into 4 NICs, just add many Ethernet
adapter,then apply.
Select VLAN
Move the VLANs from left side to right side for” multiple networks”
16. Set speed. If you split 1 port to 4 NICs, they we share bandwith. Right here we need to
assign 1G for vlan 166, 6G for vlan 168, and 3G for Multiple networks( which are vlan
170 and vlan 172)
Set up other server profiles just like what you have done before. When you done all of
those, power on blade server.
