Initial Draft of Mission Statement
Purpose: To deepen the local democratic process and the progress of resilient communities
through requiring the existence of how local public budgets function to guarantee equitable and
effective solutions exists for all Davidson County residents.
Business: Primarily through the establishment of a nimble, yet robust framework developed
through brainstorming, designing, overseeing, and cultivating the appropriate implementation of
method/resources(s) that will function as a Participatory Budgeting model(s) for Davidson
County, Tennessee
Values: To support and address county-wide to neighborhood-level issues through ensuring
inclusion, transparency, and equity for all population and disadvantaged groups exist through the
encouragement of their involvement in this democratic process within Davidson County.
