Thank you for the opportunity to serve as a reference for Eric Caron. It has been my privilege to
have been a colleague of Mr. Caron for the past three years in his capacity as Technology
Specialist at Holy Spirit Episcopal School. I have observed him as a facilitator in computer
instruction and as a technician when troubleshooting and maintaining the school’s computers. I
have been in the field of education for most of the past thirty-seven years and taught computer
education myself when “BASIC” was “the computer language of choice. Over the years I have
served with many Technology Specialists. In my opinion Mr. Caron is second to none.
Mr. Caron’s positive attitude and genuinely professional demeanor impressed me from the first
day he reported to work. He is extremely well organized and his time management techniques
are excellent. Mr. Caron has a strong sense of responsibility and is a person of integrity. He
treated everyone with a caring attitude and kind words.
Mr. Caron was a good listener and endeavored to help each of us whenever any of us had a
problem with either our computer hardware or software. He was patient with those who were
“computer challenged.” He consistently came by to update our operating systems, and he made
sure we had the programs we needed to utilize the Internet websites we were using. Mr. Caron
often went above and beyond to help set up and monitor a variety of audio-visuals for after-hours
meetings, scholastic competitions, and presentations. He also transported, set up, and helped
operate the computers needed for our fundraising auction.
As a computer facilitator for instruction, Mr. Caron made every effort to work with the teachers
on tying in instruction that would make the lessons relevant to our curriculum. He did an
excellent job of breaking down instruction into “just the right pieces” for my second grade
students to digest and use. His demeanor with students (and teachers) was kind, polite, and
positive. Students enjoyed coming to class and interacting with him. He took time to research
websites and create web quest pages to connect students to the topics we were studying in class.
He also worked individually with students having problems with a program or project, and he
always did so in such a way that they felt good about what they accomplished. Mr. Caron
worked with and taught all classes from Kindergarten through eighth grade.
I have no doubt that Mr. Caron would make an excellent addition to your staff. Please feel free
to contact me if you have further questions. I can be contacted through my work email
(ligap@hses.org), my home email (eliga@sbcglobal.net), or my home phone (832-251-6778).
Sincerely,
Mrs. Pam Liga
