2. What is goal 8 about?
The sdg number 8 stands for:
- decent work and economic growth.
that means that:
- everyone should help everyone to achieve success in
economic growth.

3. Why is goal 8 important to achieve? What's the purpose and
benefit of reaching goal X for the world/humankind?
It is important because:
- many people on this planet have to work in very poorly working conditions only to
be able to survive for another day.
- There are many children in the world that have to work up to 12 hours a day to be
able to help there families.
The goal is:
- to help people who work in these conditions.
- so that they can have a better life and a better chance in the world.
- This could also help our planet and our economy.

4. How do you measure goal 8. What unit of
measurement do you gauge goal X in?
- A full 700 million people are living:
in extreme or moderate poverty despite having employment.
-Among the issues highlighted:
is the lack of progress in closing the gender gap in labour force
participation.
- Only 48 per cent of women are in the labour force, compared to
75 per cent of men.

5. Do you know any activities from your surroundings/village/town/region/country
that are in accordance with your SDG 8? Find (2 to 3) activities from your
surroundings/village/town/region/country that are in accordance with your
goal/SDG 8!
-People order things on the Internet that are manufactured
abroad ( Wish, Shein,...)
-Entrepreneurs have goods manufactured abroad in order to
save money

6. Compare the situations in your countries. Find similarities
and differences in the measurements the countries take to
achieve the goal 8.
Similarities:
-Companies have cheap production abroad
Difference:
-minimum wage
-Human rights
-better working conditions

7. -Buy local
-Tax more on products from abroad
-Increase the minimum wage faster
So you know activities that are against
reaching your Goal

8. What can you (as a young person) do to
help reaching your Goal?
-Buy local produkts
-Do not support companies that offer bad conditions
-Find out about your rights and those of others
-organize and get involved in unions, for example

9. Do you think we/people do their best?
- No! People usually only pay attention to money.
- Things are ordered where it is cheapest. The 2022 World Cup will also take
place in Qatar.
- All this because a lot of money then goes to Gianni Infantino (Fifa President)
and Fifa.
- Due to the World Cup, many stadiums are built and the workers are poorly paid,
have very poor conditions and virtually no rights.
- The problem is that few people care about human rights. Money rules the
world...
