ADMINISTER A DOMAIN OPTIONS Once a domain has been created, to arrive at this window the admin would: • Open psadmin • Choose Option 4 > Option 1 > select Domain Here we see the created “peoplesoft” domain and the admin is given a host of options to choose from (boot, shutdown, etc). DOMAIN STATUS (Option 3) To launch the Domain Status, the admin would: • Open psadmin • Choose Option 4 > Option 1 > select Domain > Option 3 This option is going to retrieve whether or not the domain is running. EDIT CONFIGURE FILES (Option 5) To quickly retrieve and Edit Configuration Files, the admin would: • Open psadmin • Choose Option 4 > Option 1 > select Domain > Option 5 Having a utility that allows the admin to easily get to these files is a great improvement. ADMINISTER A SITE (Option 7) To launch the option to Administer a Site (specific PeopleSoft Web site) the admin would: • Open psadmin • Choose Option 4 > Option 1 > select Domain > Option 7 > choose Site > choose Configure(1) or Edit(2) 2011 © Emtec Inc. - 15. CONFIGURE SITE (Option 7 continued) The admin can administer a specific PeopleSoft Web site (Ex. “ps”) and save the values stored in the configuration.properties file. - This slide represents the “home” state of the psadmin utility. The new addition to PSADMIN that I am highlighting is Option 4, which gives the admin full control to administer PeopleSoft Webservers.
- This slide represents the actions taken to create a new webserver domain. The admin would open up the psadmin utility (previous slide) and choose Option 4 -> Option 2
- This slide represents the quick configuration options for the webserver. Prior to PT8.52, these values were entered on the GUI installation tool. The name of the domain is given here as well as the website name.
- The slide represents the administration options of a domain that has been created. In order to get to this window the admin would open psadmin then choose Option 4 -> Option 1 -> choose Domain. Here we see the “peoplesoft” domain which was created in the previous slide. The admin is given a host of options on what they’d like to do with the domain (boot, shutdown, etc). The following slides give more detail about each option.

If there is only one site within the domain the tool will not allow you to delete it.
- In order to get to this window the admin would open psadmin then choose Option 4 -> Option 1 -> choose Domain -> Option 9. This option allows the admin to setup a Windows Service which will allow the PeopleSoft domain to be stopped/started from the Windows Services utility.
