Santos Balaeres
One afternoon, Santos saw a big fire. Many houses were
burning. People were running everywhere. Santos heard
child crying for help. The child were left inside a burning
house.
Santos ran into the house at once. He picked up the
He covered the child with his body. Then he ran out of
burning house.
Santos could not go to school for several days. His feet
and left ear were badly burned. But he was not sorry. He
was glad that he saved the child.
Santos Balaeras got an award-The Gold Medal of Honor.
This medal is given to scouts who do very brave acts.
