12. Pump House (Wycar near Bedale) Pros: Dates from 19th century; could be used in an outdoor shot (e.g. confrontation scene); building in the distance is also quite old. Cons: Not really sure what specific use it could have; near a road.
13. The Shoulder of Mutton (Richmond) Pros: It’s a traditional 18th century inn, could be used for drunken scene; nearby. Cons: It’s an inn so we wouldn’t be able to film when anyone was staying there; it’s next to a road so cars/noise of cars could interfere. Might be too “upper-class” looking for drunken scene – poor man wouldn’t go to as nice a pub.
14. The Stone House Hotel (Hawes) Pros: Even though the century the house was built in is too late, we could film in the gardens. Cons: It’s a hotel and restaurant, so we couldn’t film when there were people staying or eating – also cars could get in the way.

25. Whashton Springs Farm House B&B (Richmond) Pros: Nearby; dates back to the 18th century. Cons: B&B so wouldn’t be able to film in rooms where people are staying; people living and staying there so will be modern features; not really sure it will be what we are looking for.
