KRAFT HEINZ NAMES OPERATION HOMEFRONT AS CHARITABLE RECIPIENT
MENDOTAHEIGHTS,Minn. (June 4, 2016) -- The Kraft Heinz Company will partner with the charity
Operation Homefront for the 2016 Fourth of July season to further the company’s charitable
commitment to fighting hunger.
Families are the essence of Kraft Heinz; their products have been the staple of family meals
since 1869. As an organization dedicated to assisting military families in need, Kraft Heinz views
Operation Homefront as a viable recipient.
“Our company is built on family,” said the Bernardo Hees,CEO of Kraft Heinz. “The Kraft
Heinz Company is dedicated to the health and wellness of our customers, our planet and our company.
The men and women who serve in the military make sacrifices to ensure we here in the United States
are safe. They take care of us and now it is our turn to take care of them. No one who risks their life for
our country should go hungry and this Fourth of July we will make sure they don’t.”
Kraft Heinz will utilize signature events titled Heinz Helping Hands Family Picnics on the
Fourth of July to celebrate the holiday and military families.

Picnics sponsored by Kraft Heinz will be held across the United States in areas with high populations of
military personnel in need.
The events will be open to the public in order to foster a sense of community between neighbors
as well as encourage community service locally. It will also give families an opportunity to celebrate the
Fourth of July with free food and family activities while giving back to the local community. For a
