Picasso is well-known for popularizing reduction prints. I've show a few of his examples, as well as one of my students showing the step-by-step process of creating reduction prints in art class.

9. Here’s how to do it… First, carve out all your white spaces and Print your first color

11. Then, after it’s all printed, carve out all the spaces of the color you just printed. In her case, she’s now carving away all the yellow.

12. Once its all carved away, Set up your next color and Print directly over the exact Same spot (she’s printing Green right over the yellow). Your colors will be layered over Each other.

13. Finished Product!
