2. ❖ The Petroleum Training Institute - Information and
Communications Technology center was founded in 2004
and since its inception has served as the core of the
institution’s digital operations.
❖ The ICT centre is divided into arms - ICT ops and CTC
with both arms dedicated to internal and external
operations respectively.
❖ My industrial training schedule across the six months
comprised Resource maintenance, Training, Client
Interfacing and Service operations.

The CTC is run by an Operations
Director and serves as the Digital
Skills Training Centre.
❖ Facilitates training in Professional
Certifications.
❖ Serves as an on-boarding point for
new students at the institution.
❖ Provides manpower for IT
infrastructure servicing at the
institution.

10. Primary Activities and Duties
❖ ICT systems configuration and Deployment for different
scale of internal and external training activities.
❖ Maintenance and frequent overhaul of Systems
hardware and Software.
❖ Facilitating training in Enterprise application software at
the CTC center.
❖ Service Operations.

11. Conclusion
❖ The Petroleum Training Institute ICT competence is first
class and continues to deliver excellence to all parties.
❖ More ICT capacity should be added to expand current
scope of services rendered.
❖ Service Operations should be broadened to attract
more external investment in the sector.
