About Me
I am an enthusiastic, self motivated and result oriented accountant. I always try to
think out of the box and am inspired by the simplicity of ideas and views. I believe in

• Currently Working in Badr El-Din Petroleum Company JV(Bapetco) as
Financial budget controller, the financial Indicator (presenter) in BAPETCO
for the monthly financial performance meeting (MIMIC)Latest Estimate,
Budget presentation, SAP applications for the planning and financial process
of the latest estimate ,AFE creation forms and approvals of 5 concessions
regarding projects, operations ,development & exploration drilling AFEs,
financial Budget controller of the company’s overheads from 1/7/ 2009 up till
now.
My current job description as follows:
Implementing Budgets/Forecasts/Business Plans process all throughout the year:
¬ Gathering appropriate information to input in Budget model,
2. ¬ Conduct proper analysis for coherence of Budget figures for the overheads,
¬ Supervise the monthly operations updating of recovery indicators by ensuring the
analysis of the various accounting documents for both (Capex & Overheads)
¬ Update Budget model when needed,
¬ Analysis of targets VS. Actuals… (Capex & Overheads)
¬ Follow-up Budget issues/requests with various parties.
ϖ Implementing Budget control processes
¬ Implementing Budget Control by Purchase Requisition (PR) and authorization for
expenditures (AFE) on system (SAP) for five concessions (Agility or/and internal
Application), following regular process :( for instance),
¬ Approval of any drilling, operations,projects AFEs “Authorization for
Expenditures” within 48hrs of receipt in the notification log within the standards
agreed.
¬ Ensure that AFEs are accurately coded with the standards agreed by to ensure
accurate reporting at the month end.
¬ Develop weekly report & other ad hoc report that monitors the budget against
postings arising from encumbrances and actual GL postings.
¬ Raise "red Flags” where Budget is depleting to the concern departments on time
for remedies to be sought early.
¬ Liaise with departmental authorities and obtain details of budget lines for PRs &
AFEs approvals. Ensure all items are budgeted for and exceptions are kept to
minimal.
¬ Provide administrative assistance in the flow of documents required to be created
or facilitated for approval processes.
¬ Constantly review the AFEs and Budgeting process with the objective of bringing
additional value to the established procedures and processes.
¬ Maintain good relations with the requesters and budget owners such that
maximum support is received in the budgeting and AFEs approval process.
¬ Assist AFEs Requestors with the right codes and standards agreed for transaction
postings for proceeding.
¬ Assist in developing processes to ensure all expenses are tracked through the PRs
and AFEs process and the exceptions and considered through processes designed
outside the normal routing.
¬ Assist in conducting budget transfers for those items requiring budgets from other
3. sources. This should be done through budget journals duly signed by the authorities
concerned.
¬ Assist in the creation of new account code combinations in SAP financials.
¬ Keep a record of invoices without AFEs.
¬ Report and analyze gaps between actual and budget in monthly basis in latest
estimate exercise for the board members.
¬ Understand the actual accounting transactions against budgets and provide
comments on the variances reported. Ensure a tight grip on this process is
maintained.
¬ Take necessary actions when identifying gaps (Overheads financial budget
controller)
¬ Prepare monthly KPI dashboard.
¬ Maintaining the log of AFEs related to main issues in order to build better budget
exercises.
¬ Build a reference document of average costs.
