3. Relationship between lyrics
and visuals
At the start the lyrics are “Lost Feelings, without you” are
represented by the main character’s emotion, showing
that he is lost and not knowing what has happened.
“It starts and ends with you” is shown throughout the
music video representing a connection of love between
the female and male characters.
4. Relationship between music
and visuals
The guitar playing at the start creates a lonely atmosphere
which amplifies the theme of love, loss, and being
departed.
The explosions illustrate the frustration of the music video
and the drums add intensity throughout.
The main colours are grey, black, brown and blue which
creates a tense, suspicious and spooky atmosphere
5. Shot types and visual style
The record label has to reach out to a young audience
and look modern and professional, they have achieved
this by adding close ups of main characters and special
effects.
There are lots of mid shots showing some of the
background but focusing more on the main characters.
6. Notion of Looking
There are extreme close ups of faces showing their
reaction but not at what they are looking at which adds a
suspicious atmosphere.
There are some mirror shots that show the body of the
female character and her face.
