2. Layla Keegan
When I was looking through her blog I noticed how much writing she
had done for her blog post she had created when she finished her
magazine and contents page, compared to some of the other
students. Her blog stood out to me as she had a video of the steps
she took to create her magazine which I found very creative.
Her first blog post was very well written
and it was evident that she had a clear
understand of what the task was and
what she was expected to create.
3. Why Her Blog Was Successful
I think that Layla’s blog was successful due to the understanding of
the task and how she conveyed that in her writing. She gave plenty of
detail in her writing and tells you everything there is to know about
her magazine and contents page. It is clear she had thought about
everything in her magazine as she mentions things from the price of
her magazine to mentioning the school twitter. This show she has a
good understanding of the task and the audience her magazine is for.
4. What Can I Learn From her Blog
Looking through Layla’s blog I think there is a lot I can learn from it.
For example the video she made that shows the stages of her
magazine I think is very interesting and as she has shown the stages
there is no need to write about them explaining and describing them,
as you can see the stages.
Something else I could learn would be to include the same level of
detail in my writing, as I didn’t think to include some of the details
she included. When she mentioned why her magazine was £1.50
(because students would have to buy it and they are unlikely to have
much money) I will take that on board and probably include it in my
own work.
