Marina grew up in the province of Antwerp, Belgium with her four brothers and sisters.

In 2007 Marina decided to go back to school. She started a bachelor in Business
Administration/Marketing in Mechelen at the Katholieke Hogeschool (currently
Lessius).
She finished a three year course in just two years, while being a mother of 4 and
working full time as a corporate webmaster for a shipping company.
