The American Red Cross had an Intranet
based on static HTML, which made it difficult
to manage, and hard to surface content in
PDF, DOC, XLS formats. There was a major
need to make the site more dynamic,
manageable and user-friendly. EastBanc
Technologies participated in the development
of an Intranet new version using Adobe
Enterprise Web CMS (CQ), which makes the
content navigation more intuitive and user-
friendly, and simplifies the content
management processes. The new website
also contains important features – alerts,
feeds, to-do’s and bookmarks, and has
potential for future improvements with the
addition of more features.

4. Rosetta Stone
Expanding their on-line presence and moving
the process of learning languages from
“boxes” to on-line, Rosetta Stone needed a
CQ5 based multi-site multi-language web
portal. EastBanc Technologies participated in
CMS migration and system integration of their
existing Ruby-on-rails Radiant CMS with CQ5
based CMS (before Adobe bought CQ5).
Additionally, based on their CQ5 CMS we
were helping them improve their website with
shopping cart system integration (based on
Ruby), and user support system integration
(with Parature). Our team was involved in this
project as a part of portal building and support
team. We were responsible for creating new
UI components, pages, implementing
business logic services, bug fixes.

UMUC portal integration platform is based
on Liferay Portal. It is a unified scalable and
reliable application integration platform. It
was integrated with existing UMUC
infrastructure including single sign-on. This

6. MBO Partners
This comprehensive project is purposed to
build a reliable and scalable Customer Portal
and Intranet. EastBanc Technologies team
implemented MBO Liferay portal and
migrated their large legacy Java application to
newer technologies. We installed a new
environment in Rackspace and implemented
a couple of modules employing full stack of
technologies, for integration with live system
and evaluation of solutions proposed for the
new components. We created custom themes
and layouts with elements of responsive
design, as well as Identity management and
SSO.

User Interface Enhancement
EastBanc Technologies completely
redesigned complex SharePoint user
interface specifically for eReview application
making it easier for the end-users to operate
the system. New UI is dynamically adjustable
to the user role and the state of the workflow,
and is self-explanatory operating now through
business and not through SharePoint terms.
This solution is using AJAX technologies
(jQuery/JavaScript) that allow updating
information and performing actions without
refreshing pages.

EastBanc Technologies was chosen to supervise development of a system that would help making
informed investment decisions based on the current market situation and strategy. Our team was
responsible for executing deployments including managing continuous integration process, setting up
routines on the built-in Atlassian Bamboo server, and troubleshooting deployment issues.

Additionally, our team developed a top-down
analysis module for performing a top-down
analysis – an investment approach that
involves looking at the “big picture” in the
economy and financial world, and then
breaking those components down into finer
details. From this point, the stocks of specific
companies are further analyzed and those
that are believed to be successful are
chosen as investments. The most critical
part of the system – the stored procedures –
were implemented in MSSQL Server.
12. Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority
Safety Measurement System
The SMS is designed to support the operations of the Metro Safety Department. It enables collection
of incident-related information, capture incident data (eyewitness statements, categorization, photos,
scanned documents), and incident investigation tracking.
The solution encompasses data management processes, data integration and analytical platform,
transforming Metro data into management supporting information: Dashboards, Balanced Scorecards,
and Analytical Reports – to manage Metro’s “Golden Triangle”: Efficiency/Cost, Service, and Public
Safety.
SMS also has a mobile component so that
supervisors may easily access and submit
information from Android tablet devices.
13. Intelsat
EastBanc Technologies implemented a portal solution for Intelsat
enabling sales managers to manage capacity of satellite fleet. The
solution provides a self-service interface to Intelsat customers, which
helps them review and request changes to their lease reservations on
their spacecraft. The solution is build with multi-platform capability in
mind, allowing access from devices with varying range of form
factors, automating previously high-maintenance interactions
between Intelsat and its customers.
