The document discusses the European dimension of the OpenArch partnership project, which supported transnational mobility in the cultural sector and encouraged intercultural dialogue. It aimed to bring cultural sector professionals together across Europe to strengthen the feeling of being European. The project involved eleven competence-building meetings across Europe and staff exchanges in participating countries. The ultimate goal was to help museums and their networks become more professional and demonstrate the value of working on a European level to improve visitor experiences. Five years later, the document questions whether these goals were achieved.
